New Capital ship in Rogue One

By melminiatures, in Star Wars: Armada

There shouldn't be any Bothans involved in Rogue One, as they didn't play a part in stealing the plans in A New Hope. Bothan spies get the Death Star 2 plans, but that is many years later.

Either way, point was I don't think we should write off seeing the Tantive in Rogue One.

I mean, Come on.

Bothans Dying to get Info is just a lie.

The Emperor totally said he basically just handed them over.

I'm pretty sure the Bothans all got Drunk and crashed their cruiser into an Orphanage, and to cover it up, concocted the whole "hard to get, desperate plight" of the Death Star II location and the fact the Emperor was there...

Well lets be clear while yes many Bothans died to get us the plans for the Second Death Star that doesnt mean they werent involved in getting the plans for the first either.

Are there Bothans in Rogue One?

Because its going to determine that.

Well, clearly they wouldn't be in the film.

They wouldn't be good spies if they were.

Look, Bothans claiming they're dying offscreen is useless to me.

Hahah but thats the same problem in Return of the Jedi. Many died, we dont know who they are or how many or even how they died. Lol :)

Pardon the text talk im on my mobile and have no emoticons :/

One silver lining of the old EU becoming Legends is the Shadows of the Empire is no longer canon. I never liked the idea that the dead bothans were pilots.

They were spies! They should have died doing James Bond stuff, or in a James Bond fashion. You know, a slow laser cutting them in half from the feet up, or space sharks with friggin lasers on their heads.

Well lets be clear while yes many Bothans died to get us the plans for the Second Death Star that doesnt mean they werent involved in getting the plans for the first either.

It never says Ewoks didn't learn to fly starships and master the darkside of the force immediately after the battle of Endor, sparking a galaxy-wide genocide of anyone not a teddy bear or droid, either.

In fictional universes, we have to rely on what we are told, not on what we are not told, because the reality is we are not told a great deal of what could be plausible. All of these potentialities are poppycock until we are actually told something.

Could Bothan's have helped steal the DS1 plans? Sure! But I have yet to see one in the trailers for Rogue One, ANH, or any star wars movie, for that matter. And unless they at LEAST get a throw away name drop, like Leia saying, "Thank goodness for all those Bothan's that helped us get these plans!" at the end of Rogue One, we can go ahead and assume that we are dealing with a completely Bothan-less experience here.

No need to bring up sour grapes Skycake

God this season of South Park is so awesome. And the election just made it better.

Looks like a sunfish but new ships are welcome.

We have a sunfish already, it is our dear Liberty-type.

Hammerhead is in the trailer.

I see nothing that looks like this:

I thought that was Ram-man?

I saw the Hammerhead as well, a nice touch from Rebels cross-pollinated to the big screen. Makes me wonder what freeze-frame will reveal from what's in the rest of the rebel fleet.

We had a clutch of toys released after Episode 7 premiered right? We probably won't know what the mystery ship is until after that.

Well we still havent seen Episode VII stuff in Armada. There wasnt too much to balance with the New order getting new capital, shuttle and ties and rebels getting new xwings and a new falcon. Maybe episode 8 will give enough goodies for a release.

I am going out on a limb and assume Wave 6 is going to be Rogue One and Rebels oriented.

Rebels:

Hammerhead

New capital ship type seen in the trailer

Imperials:

Quasar

maybe (possible) an Imperial I -Star Destroyer

Rogue One Fighter Pack:

U Wing

Tie Striker

Maybe that Imperial Landing Craft

Any other squadron types that we haven't seen that may be in the movie.

We don't really need any more fighters, but I doubt FFG will pass up a chance to sell us the RO fighters. Perhaps we'll get our first squadrons that are incorporated into ship expansions. Quasar with 2 Tie Strikers for $30 or something like that.

This is going to sound crazy...but could that be a Recusant class from Clone Wars?

I was thinking, bulked up, like the Assault Frigate. But looking at it a second time, no, never mind.

So did anybody notice the Hammerhead Nebulon-B that is directly beside that circle in the photo?
