New Capital ship in Rogue One

By melminiatures, in Star Wars: Armada

Eyyyyyy! ;-p

I'm calling it now: it's just an MC 80 @ a funny angle!

Could be, but if it is then it's a model we haven't seen before. There is a band running around its centerline that appears to connect to those pod fins.

I agree this is most likely a MC of some kind, and we're seeing an exaggerated angle.

Home one before it lost the massive command fin?

I dunno, looks different. Especially with that underside fin. Looks more like an assault frigate knockoff than the larger MC80s.

In the micromachine pack for Rogue One named "Imperial Attack" theres an MC80 esque ship if not an actual MC80, pretty darn close in look.

Clearly marked as Rogue One on the packaging. I feel like this may be our ship.

That is a Home One model in the package, but it doesn't look like the ship in the trailer.

Yep, now I'm 90% sure this is mc80 pod thingy that sticks out from main vessel...

I disagree with the new ship in the trailer being Home one or another MC80 like it. You can see from the pictures there is something on the sides of the ship that is no where on the MC80 designs. I don't know what to call it but if you look st the left edges of the ship you see it around the edge of the hull. You also have a rather tall pod/command tower similar to the Providence Class ship in ROTS. Also from the fleet shots and the Neb B behind it the new ship isn't as big as an MC80. Lastly the pod that's barely visible in the first image we got from the prior trailer is too far off the hull and I don't thing the MC80 has one on the bottom.

I bet it's a new mon calamari design that is somewhere along the size of a light cruiser or assault frigate. Also since we don't see it in any episodes in the future I'm guessing something bad happens to it.

It could just be MC80 pods we are seeing, but why are they cutting the trailers around them if they have spoiled it with the toys?

Frankly I wouldnt trust that set as proof from Rogue One. It could be just a set of ships from the original trilogy. After all, you dont see any Y-Wings in that battle and that is a ISD-II and not an ISD-I.

We do see Y Wings in the movie, though.

I've now seen 1.4 seconds of whatever this station/ship thingy is and I demand that it be added to Armada. Let's give it a Squadron value of, how about, 100.

Why? That's like, what, 4 Squadrons of TIE Fighters? At most?

Looks like an f ton of TIEs... too bad yvaris showed up

Besides, what if its only got a Squadron Rating of 1, but this happens to be the Squadron Phase?

I think the pictures show two separate ships. The circled section in the first picture is a fin from an MC80

The ship in the second picture is something different.

That would put the MC80 upside down relative to all the other large ships, which are clearly oriented to fly in some sort of formation. Also, the MC80 fins aren't that far off the ships, you should be able to see much more of the ship at that angle if it's an MC80 of either stripe.

This is clearly the new ship, with an elongated tower fin hanging off the bottom.

Looks to me like an Assault Frigate and an MC-80 Star Cruiser loved each other very, very much and had a baby whale.

Like I said above, Assault Frigate Mk1.

I'd say it'smore like 16 Armada squadrons. ;)

I don't know about the design yet from this angle It's just plain ugly.

However I think this is certainly a Mon Cal ship for two big reasons.

1. Round, very round. Much in line with the Mon Cal design line,

2. It's been hinted we may be visiting Mon Calamari in this movie and I think the planet the Rebels are attacking may very well be Mon Calamari. When you see the planet it's mostly water with islands. I don't think this is the tropical planet with the bunker and ATATs. I say that only because sending a rebel fleet to attack doesn't seem very stealthy if you're landing ground troops on a heavily fortified Imperial planet to infiltrate a base and steal the plans. I could be entirely wrong here.

Might possibly be a new design all together looks like the design is pulling a lot from the MC140 or the ShaShore frigate, both mon cal manufactured ship from legends which I think would be great.

Maybe I'm missing the Forest because of the Trees, but ARE those T65s? I don't see astromechs and they seem to be firing green lasers.

I don't think laser color has any meaning. If it did, nearly all lasers would be green or blue, as those are higher energy colors.

Those are definitely original series X-Wings. The lack of an astromech is easily explained away by limited resources.
