I've only played a couple of games of epic, but I've observed that the huge ships have a tendency to get left behind by their fighter screens. Even if the outside deployment isn't quite as extreme as that shown, perhaps this could help to concentrate your forces?

What made you think that setup rule didn't apply normally?

The tournament rules serve as the rules for the Epic format.

Im actually surprised they said "at" with his ability, which indicates any point of their base can be inside range2 and be legal placement.

Considering they recently clarified "at" vs "within" and to my knowledge NOTHING uses "within" kinda surprised he doesnt say "within" to prevent such a thing like this (within would mean the entire ship has to be range2 or closer, which on a huge ship wouldnt do anything)
