Search the Inquisitorial archives on malleus.dk

By Thomas62, in Dark Heresy

Greetings - You can now search the Inquisitorial archives on www.malleus.dk/Ordo/NpcGenerator/SearchNpcs.aspx

This will allow you to see the characters created by other users of the character generator, provided they have chosen to share their characters in the Inquisitorial archive.

For instance my own primary DH character - an assassin named Anthon Barbie can be seen here: malleus.dk/Ordo/NpcGenerator/ViewNpc.aspx

Kind regards

Thomas

A small addition to the previous post.

Please do not hesitate to offer your opinion on this "sharing of character" feature.

In which direction would you like to see this going?

For our own part I can say that we hope to create "an exchange" of characters and groups that will allow a GM to be inspired or to be quickly up and running. We also believe that this sharing of NPCs will act as an inspiration to other players about what they can do with their characters.

I like the feature, I always thought this would be a cool idea but didn't think you would actually do it.

A couple of suggestiongs though. It would be nice to be able to see gear from the front page of the sheet, after you put so much effort into the gear function its daft to not put it there for people to see. If possible a copy button when you are viewing the characters would be useful as when you click go back to archives you lose your place and have to find the character again. In the same vain a print feature on the page allowing you to print off characters on the spot would be nice but not necissary.

What would also be cool is a comment feature for characters allowing people to leave comments about an individual character. I think it would be really good for the community although how difficult it would be to do I dont know.

I'm loving every new change you make to this, keep up the good work.

Hi Kaihlik - thank you for your suggestions. :)

I fully agree with your comment about gear and and the copy button on the View page. This is going to come in on the top of the to-do list.

Your suggestion about a "comment" feature is very good. We have actually been talking about that for some time inside our own group as well, and your suggestion confirms that as a good idea.

A very simple comment feature would simply render the comments chronologically with the newest comment at the top. Do you think that would be sufficient?

Cheers,

Thomas

Yeah that would work although a way of connecting it to an NPC would be ideal. That way people could quickly find characters that may be useful to them from others comments.

Kaihlik

Hi Kaihlik - good idea with the linking. :)

Thomas

I see you've put the clone and gear stuff up already, good work. Am looking forward to see what you add next.
