I wish they would mix MORE timeines!
We have the ARC and Asajj now. No reason to not add more clone wars era ships and pilots.

By the way, for those interested in respecting the timelines and being thematic. In the Poe Dameron comics, there is one Resistance pilot, part of Black squadron, that fly in a A-Wing: L'ulo, Duros. Fought at the Battle of Endor in Green Squadron, knew Shara Bey and is now acting kinda like an uncle to Poe.
So you can at least include one in your Resistance squadrons and it's still thematic!
Edited by Red CastleIf they wanted "characterful" lists to be a big thing, they have the means to make it happen; some sort of title or "squadron upgrade" or whatever that rewards you taking the canonical composition of a squadron (you can, for example, do a rather nice 100 point list which is all the named members of Black Squadron, including Vader, which is a very nice thematic opposition for a Luke, Wedge, Biggs, 'trench run' squad).
This is literally my favorite swarm at the moment, Black One (proper black one, not some Halloween spaceship), Two, Three, Four and Eight - as present at the Yavin Deathstar defense. Vader kitted with Squad Leader EPT for more flavour
I've also repainted a Defender in FO colours so that it doesn't feel out of place when flying with OL or SFs.
If anything I think we need more variety of ships and era vessels, not for gameplay reasons but because FFG does make good ship models.
I would love to add a Nimbus V-Wing, a N1 Starfighter, and a Sith Fury Transport to my shelves, also would allow a greater number of people to get into Role Playing with the game too, if someone wanted to create RP style campaigns, the more ships the better. And its not like people wouldnt buy them, I mean come on, its star wars ships.
Meh, I'm a star wars fan, there is plenty of possibilities for mixing ships in time line. Same with pilots. I mean heck we see X wings with Zs and that's a 30+ year gap, so not that hard to see T-65s and T-70s together. If you are trying to be ultra purist like some of you are, you really shouldn't be flying some of the named pilots due to them dying before meeting some of the other pilots in the same time line. IE Biggs.
Some interesting and varied responses.
I've never been able to visualise the game as an actual space battle .. and never really exercised any meta-cognitive processes to discover why .. until today.
I've always viewed the game as exactly that .. a game. A what if ? A who would win between .....? Similar to a fantasy football team in FIFA, a matchup of great generals in Civilisations, a Dream Team in NBA, etc.
The idea of crossing timelines never really occurred to me because I don't see the game as an actual event.
