I came in 6th today at the Vancouver Regional. Would've done better, but Tirion trounced me.
Still, got the braces and the sparkly dice, as well as three awesome games.
It was a great game that was very close into round four could've gone either way! Nice to be able to put faces to some names.
It was an awesome game. If I would have reigned in Demolisher a bit, and not have my single TIE Advanced fly out to try to assassinate your nameless HWK (remember that escort = escort, interceptor = interceptor), things might have gone differently. Overall, I think my decision to have my fleet come around your right flank (my left) was a good one, though perhaps your left (my right) would have been squishier. It meant that your squadrons had to move more (and shoot less) if they wanted to engage my squadrons.
Of course, my main failing was a lack of familiarity with Rebel upgrades (e.g. Yavaris, Toryn Farr). These are underappreciated in my local meta, and my blind loyalty to the Empire (and lack of time to immerse myself), and I underestimated them as a result.
But anyway, I hope we meet again, so that I might have sweet revenge at your expense.
