Imperial Patrol Force

By MandalorianMoose, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

With the lists that recently did well at worlds I think that squadron spam will become even more prevalent in the tournament scene. In response I have created this list to hopefully be able to chew through or at least delay most bomber forces while my two ship killers go to work. Two blue AA dice on demo should be able to help against outrageous fighter balls. My only concern is if there is enough ship killing power in the list. I could always just take out one key enemy ship for the win, but can it win big enough for tournaments? Thoughts? Critiques?

Ps, Screed is on the empty gozanti, not Demo

Why a Glad 2 for Demolisher? You're not going to be shoting at squadrons with the amount of squadron power you have., and the rest of his setup is geared toward his traditional role, which means you can't rely on acc's to one shot flotillas and such. Seems like wasted points.

If you're going to roll with screed, I'd say take OE off Demolisher and give it Sensor Team to leverage those red dice for some accs.

Glad 2 because I am wary of how many people will now catch on that Y-wing spam is no joke. I have a buddy that plays it and it's a LOT of hull to chew through. Even a single round of two blue AA could go a long way. I had been considering sensor teams, but since both them AND Screed require spending a die it seriously cuts down on the firepower of the list vs big ships

I think it's worth playtesting sensor teams at least (especially with EL, the front arc is now dependable and deadly for flotillas or small ships). Could very well find it's not worth the points and drop back down to a Glad 1...

Alternate version with Vader. Fighter screen is less potent but both ships now sport double blue AA. Assault gozantis can help with anti ship duties with CF dials once squadrons have alpha struck. Which do you think is better?

I've run a similar list but put demo on the gsd 1, unless your planning for jonus. Use your second gsd as an aggro sink while demo sneaks in on a late activation. Use your flotillas to set a heavy squad screen around where you think demo will land.
