Magical wizbang, that's what I like to see. Thanks.

I don't think the Daqan sorcerer is Master Thorn, because so far every release has been in pairs. 2 heroes in two forms, one for each side. Bannerman, musician, leader for each side. And Waiqar has it's sorcerer (the necromancer), so likely the Daqan sorcerer is a Greyhaven Battlemage.
The WoK minis are fantastic. You can tell former Rackham employees were involved in their creation. All that PVC though.
Back on topic, has anybody heard anything about the potential for warmachines? Are they even prevalent in the Runebound universe?
The Daqan used to have Siege Towers, but those were replaced in Battlelore by the Siege Golem. The Dwarves do have machines powered by runic energy though. Other than that, no.

That will be intresting to see played out with the way the Runes work.
You know, fluff-wise, it doesn't really make sense for Vorakesh to be part of Waiqar's army. He never really worked for Waiqar that much, and uses different magic. He's always been off doing his own thing.
I updated the OP with all information to date, so that the release schedule + all rumors (and justification for them) is in one place.

the wizard in the champs box is arleady defined as either a greyhaven or Nekerhall battlemage
I think it's safe to assume Bone Horrors will be available for for Waiqar as Vorakesh has a version mounted to one.
Bone Horrors are the red units here. Additionally, it's safe to assume that Daqan will also receive Yeomen Archers from Battlelore.
While I agree that we will see Daqan archers, I don't think they'll necessarily be "Yeoman Archers." So far the Daqan Lords have had 4 different names for cavalry: Knights, Riverwatch Riders, Citadel Lancers, and Oathsworn Cavalry. I think it's likely we'll see a new vision for Daqan archers in Runewars.
I agree with you on the above. Based on what we have seen on the cards, I think you will very likely see a couple of additional things come out in the relatively near future:
1. Cavalry for Waiqar (probably bone horrors) based on the fact that Vorakesh has a cavalry base add on that will allow you to add him to a group of Waiqar cavalry. This strongly implies that there will be Waiqar cavalry come out before or with Vorakesh...otherwise you couldnt use Vorakesh's cavalry base. Since the Vorakesh model is already done (via GenCon), it seems this will be sooner rather than later.
2. Cavalry Command group for Daqan (and probably Waiqar) based on the fact that the Oathsworn Calvary card has upgrade slots a musician and bannerman (and possibly more, the images I've seen are not 100% clear). Also the current command grousp are called "infantry" command...begging the designation of a later "cavalry command" in the future.
Even with the stuff we have seen so far, unless FFG does a very, very aggressive release schedule in 2017, we pretty much know, more or less, what will be coming out in 2017. Simply filling out the known gaps is more than enough to put us in 2018.

Vorakesh is a hero and does not need a squad to be ran on his calvary base, of that I am almost certain.
For him to be ran in squad would be a upgrade card similar to Ardus.
I do agree we will be seeing calvary command sooner or later for Daqan.

Very good point. The heroes could, perhaps, be sold in a two pack, with 2 different sculpted "heroic" bases, one for single infantry...like Kari and Ardus...and one for the cavalry versions.

I think that is exactly how they will be sold. Probably 30 dollars, a mounted and a on foot form.

I'm hoping for 20 myself, as you can't use both at the same time.
I edited the original post to include the exact dates that each of the products shifted from In Development, to At the Printer to On the Boat. The idea is to start to give us a rough timeline for this particular game for the release dates from announcement to FLGS. Figured it woudl be helpful in the future so we know Wave 6 is announced on X, should be at printer by Y and in FLGS by Z.

The different names for the same unit seems like the perfect opportunity for different unit cards in a scenario or campaign set.

That's an interesting idea, although, I'm not sure they are the same unit. I think the old term of "knights" is gone. That was from the Runewars boardgame and Rune Age days and was just a catch-all term for Daqan cavalry. [And as an extra aside, the Daqan Lords used to be called the Daqan Knights in Battlemist.] The lore has progressed since then (a little, at least). With the presence of Citadel Guards and Citadel Lancers in BattleLore, I think the Citadel must be a place in Terrinoth, though I haven't read about it before. Maybe it's in Descent or Runebound, because I haven't played those games. The Riverwatch Riders are the cavalry unit associated with the city of Riverwatch, which appears in Rune Age and Runebound.
I like the idea of having new unit cards for the same models, but FFG wants to sell more models, so I don't think it's likely. I think they would rather create a whole new figure to go with the new unit card.

Not necessarily. They could do something like they did with CC for Armada. In fact, I really hope they do at some point, because small skirmishes across the kingdom leading up to an epic war at the end....

Stolen from the lore file on Board Game Geek.

Archaut, the Citadel: A city somewhere in Terrinoth. It contains within it the Statue of Daqan, a memorial for the Lost King who disappeared during the Second Darkness. [RA/Web]
Likely another one of the Free Cities, since there appear to be 13 of them in total according to Rune Age . [RA]
Personally I hope they expand the subfactions of Daqan (and other faction) to include various infantry and cavalry that have their own strengths and weaknesses while expanding the lore. Such as a slower moving heavily armed cavalry for example. Otherwise I fear we won't have enough variety in the units to really compete with true wargames.

@Muz333 Ah. I recognize Archaut, but forgot it was referred to as the Citadel. Now that I've read it, I do remember reading it before. Thanks!
Archaut actually isn't a free city, it is totally under Daqan control. Only eight cities are truly "free" (even Forge, which well it is controlled by dwarves, they are independent from the Dunwarr dwarves).
Also am very pissed that there are no Orcs of the Broken Plains on that poster. That does it for me (though I'll still stick around to help with fluff questions). Unless orcs do eventually come...

I'd expect the Orcs and Dwarves to come if the game takes off, four factions is very light for a wargame where it's possible to only collect a single faction. Although when the Orcs do come I'll have to collect them on top of the Uthuk Y'llan and Waiqar factions.
Orcs, Dwarves ? OH My yes ! But right now I'm more into undeads and waiting for elves to come... but Orcs...hmmmm

The orcs are awesome. Really wish I could field an army of Spiritspeakers and Beastmasters, with a Giant Troll bringing up the rear...

Hoping for a Suza Mancrusher and a Zeegra Warrior Priestess myself
