Fat Han and the Snap Wings

By asters89, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Thomas Mooney's brilliant showing with Fat Han at worlds have given me a push to dust of my Han and put him back on the table. I'm thinking of pairing him with a couple of a-wings, maybe using the new snap shot EPT

Han Solo (46)
Adaptability (0)
Rey (2)
Gunner (5)
Engine Upgrade (4)
Millennium Falcon (1)

Green Squadron Pilot (19)
Crack Shot (1)
Chardaan Refit (-2)
Snap Shot (2)
A-Wing Test Pilot (0)

Unfortunately it's a bit squeezed for points - ideally I would take predator but its a point more expensive than I can afford. What would you do with the remaining two points. Would it be worth dropping something off one or both of the A-wings, maybe running one with adaptability and intimidation to use as a blocker? There are probably a million combinations I haven't considered so any ideas appreciated..

If you have 2 point spare then maybe Lone Wolf for use early on when you can control the range to your wingmen and late game once the A-wings have gone pop.

Like your list how about

Han Solo + VI + Gunner + Rey + Title (Evade) + Engine Upgrade = 59 points

GreenSquad Pilot + Title + Proton Rockets + Crack Shot + Snap Shot + Guidance Chips = 25 points

Protype Pilot + Chardaan Refit = 15 points

99 Point squad or switch out Proton Rockets to Cluster Missles for a 100 point list

Han is now a PS11, Green Squad gets a little extra kick with prockets/Cluster while still keeping Snap shot and use Prototype pilot as a blocker.

As you said many different combo's with the A-Wings.

I was Looking at

Rey 45

Sloop Title 1

VI 1

Finn 5

Kanan 3

GlitterStims 2

And 2 x

Green Sq 19

Snapshot 2

Juke 2

Refit -2

99 points

I think Rey would have a good argument for Expert handling over VI. It's on my to play list anyway.

I've played against a similar list, and that Juke+Snap Shot combo is pretty brutal. I've been leaning more towards Burnout Slam or Countermeasures on Rey to avoid ordinance, but I agree it is tempting to put Expert Handling on her instead of VI. The only reason I have left VI on my build is to counter Whisper builds, however without any real action re-positioning options she only half benefits from the high PS imho.
