Xwings would be way over the top if they could get free evades everyturn as well as regenerate shields.
Red Ace /w R2D2, Comms Array.

The only thing that stops Red Ace being OP is the lack of EPT which means her offense is a lot worse than her defense.
I love the vess, ryad, delta squad if I do 3 defenders. With the dissapearance of contracted scouts as ordnance boats I want to bring my decimator out again. Probably time to try:
Patrol Leader (44)
-Vader
-Intelligence Agent
Delta Squadron Pilot (28x2)
-Tie/X7
Vader the aces and just murder everything else (hopefully).

I didn't us a decivader but it's a squad that really works well in multiple setups.
To boring for me and very predictive/easy to counter.
I also find that Triple X7s are only really good versus people that have never faced them before.
To me they are the squarest of hammers in an otherwise interesting toolbox.
This is wrong on so many levels!
I can only assume you have not actually faced a good TIE Defender player if you think this...
Triple X-7's in any way, shape or form are top tier. They are also superior to Palp + 2 defenders (at least in that specific matchup) because as Vanderlegion mentioned, its impossible for the Palp player to keep the shuttle alive. It always will die first and then its 3 v 2 (double Juke doesn't make enough difference).
The only thing that scares an X-7 defender (or three) is a party bus (or Bossk) and even then, its not that bad if you have 3 defenders. You end up losing one defender for sure, but its very easy for the defenders to kill party bus/Bossk (especially if you give them crackshot, like I do). 2 X-7 defenders vs 1/2 or maybe 2/3 of any opposing list is still a very good matchup for the Defenders...
If you think defenders are predictable you've never even faced a competent player let alone a good one.
People that endlessly k turn are just bad defender players.
I usually run named but three deltas with x7 and SD is **** near immortal flown right.
At 93 points that's a fairly large initiative bid isn't it?
I like deathfire too much as a third ship to fly 3 x7s
Conners too clutch and he makes a wonderful biggs

Not really needed, tbh. Deathfire is anti-ace tech, but Defenders are not bothered overly by aces. By including Deathfire, you make your list a little squishier, and therefore more likely that you are down 2 ships by endgame. 1 Defender by itself can do okay against many a single ship, but if outnumbered you end up likely losing that match. Triple defenders on the other hand often go into endgame with 2 still alive. Much harder to deal with and much better odds of winning that match, regardless of what you're up against.
conners are not just anti-ace tech
any ship in the game hit by one of those babies is going to be suffering a lot, and the higher value it is the more it suffers
without an action step, it generally becomes far easier to kill
with the ion move, especially on large ships, it becomes incredibly easy to manage
I will take Deathfire's offensive contributions over a lowly delta x7 any day

Yeah but you can then upgrade to vess or take three onyx or whatever, key thing is four agility with tokens can take a pounding.
