Expansion Packs?

By Zeoinx, in DOOM: The Board Game

I dont really want to play the game, that said, if you released expansion packs based on the ORGINAL Doom Sprite Characters and style of art, I would totally buy them. Classic DOOM over modern doom anyday. The modern monsters dont have the same charm as they used to.

The main reason I like this style more is this is Doom before they were influenced by other main stream sci fi modern games like Halo. UAC Marines felt unique, and dont look copy pasta from other titles. And all the enemy monsters were completely unique in color and apparance, leaving ZERO doubt what you were fighting at the time.

wait, what? are you talking about Doom 3 or the brand new Doom?

because the new Doom; if you even bothered to play it, was a total throw back to the original games with a modern design and feel

I loved the old games to death but the new one is totally, miles better.

I did play the new one at a friends and to me, it felt like it promoted melee play over guns a lot of the time. Melee attacks were more useful then the guns a lot of the time, they drooped heals That, and it didnt feel that much of a maze compared to the older titles.

not nearly as maze like, no but to find all of the hidden stuff you really have to look for it and find secret areas and the like which was just like the original

melee? no way. I actually liked the glory kills, it was a nice touch and it's a good way to keep yourself up and running as this game has a lot less med packs and relies on you killing stuff quickly and efficiently and trying to make those glory kills as often as possible to save both on ammo and to keep your health from dropping too quickly

have you played ultra violence or nightmare mode? because you kind of need those glory kills to get through them alive
