I'm curious if Murne can use her threat related abilities (stun and false order) against Jann. Does he count as a normal 2 threat officer or is he special in that way, that she can't manipulate him?
Hoth Campaign Home Front Mission
The figure cost is not changed, so Murne can use Sonic Bellow against Jann, and can False Order Jann to attack.
(I haven't played the mission so I cannot say whether that breaks the mission. From a quick glance, I don't think so.)
I mean, the stun would help (but I don't think that's a very popular ability on Murne anyway), but the attack is just an officer attack. And in my experience, Jann is a terrible shot... ![]()
I was thinking that he(normal officer card) is only a place holder. It sounds like it when you reading it. But we will play it like normal. By the way they bought the stun ability. At least false order can not move him. I can say more after this evening. Thanks for the responses.
Mission rules for events usually name deployment cards for the purposes of giving the named figures some special mission rules. If the mission objective is not to defeat that figure (which would end the mission), then once the named figure is defeated, the (non-unique) deployment card returns to your hand and can be deployed normally by paying threat. It won't be a named character anymore, so doesn't have the abilities or conditions given by the mission rules.
The named figure corresponds to the abilities and stats on the deployment card unless the mission rules change them somehow.
Sometimes missions also have figures represented by mission tokens and do not have deployment cards, their stats are listed in the mission rules. I don't really like that - much harder to keep track.
Thing is that those unique mission figures don't really have a threat level/stat because you only deploy them, when the mission rules/orders are telling you to do it. And when they are defeated the mission ends or you don'T bring it back. With Murne in the game they maybe should take a look at this.
Mission went very well and they couldn't came close to exploit Murne's ability/ies on him.
How is your Hoth campaign going, Pasi? Became a fan of Find weakness ?
Edited by StragenFind the Weakness seems to contribute to my first mission win. And I need that 2 XP.
The rebels are considering going for the 2 remaining crates now. However, I unloaded 4 influence on the Interlude, so it came with a cost.
1 influence to buy and 1 to play Hired Help (Weequay Pirates for 3 threat is a steal), got a lucky 4 threat from High-Value Target on the second round by Wampa wounding and stunning+bleeding Davith who before that failed to trigger Fell Swoop twice while Hidden. For round three (round counter 5) I brought the Grand Inquisitor (2 influence) to hunt down Loku - although on hindsight that will go to waste.
