They still have 2 movies to become good. Their star-destroyers I like a little better than the original Empire's: the heavier focus on fighter-carrier tactics and hyperdrive-capable fighters is nice. So is equipping infantry with melee weapons for combating force-sensitives. The base was a bad idea just like the last two times.
They have some good ideas, they just need to become their own thing rather than being Empire Lite.
As I recall, it has less batteries, but they're supposed to be super charged by lightsaber ****.
Personally prefer all of Ansel's Destroyer and battlecruiser designs to the FO design.
