Tried the same Rey only with a VCX with Jyn instead of the YT and she's a beast with this setup: 3-5 almost guaranteed hits/crits while attacking and 2-3 almost guaranteed evades while defending.
I would probably rather take Kanan than C-3PO because the extra Evade dice increase the variance making it less likely you will predict your agility results accurately. Granted you can use him as insurance against bad rolls but that makes a poorer use of the points spent on him.
Other than that, looks promising on paper. Unlike Dengaroo, you can attack with both ships since there is no real reason to hide the Resistance Sympathizer. It helps to boost Rey but she is not dependent on it.
And where's Zuckuss on your Rebel Dengaroo list?

VCX may be a more reasonable choice - it allows Jyn Erso to work in rear arc.
Does the rear arc count too even without the shuttle?
Yes. The "special arc" always exists, having a docked Shuttle only allows you to fire your primary weapon from it.
