Rule referees: Would this work?

Accuracy Correctors + Flechette Torpedoes + Munition Fail Safe

Trying to come up with multiple lists (because thats what I do in my spare time doesn't everyone?), I read Accuracy Correctors very carefully. Here is what it says:

When attacking, you may cancel all of your dice results. Then, you may add 2 hit results to your roll. Your dice cannot be modified again during this attack.

Ok, the key word is may . It is used twice. Once for cancelling results, the next for adding 2 hit results.

So the simple question is: can I only cancel dice results, and not add the two hits?

This will give a ship unlimited Flechette Torpedoes with anything with a Torpedo slot and a Systems slot.

The E-Wing can become an expensive stressbot.

Nera Dantels has unlimited firepower.

And the Ghost and U-Wing ....

With the upcoming Captain Rex and Operation Specialist this can be a very dangerous combo.

On Kanan, you have unlimited Flechette Torps on the Ghost, you are missing on purpose (depending) Captain Rex + Rey gives you access to a good supply of focus tokens for Kanan.

On the upcoming U-Wing, an Operation Specialist + Jan Ors. Or Operational Specialist plus Tactician. Or Operational Specialist plus Gunner. (On Cassian put Dead Eye for good measure.)

If this is true, that dang torpedo slot that is on every rebel ship may have just paid off.

Yeah, that works. Have Gunner so that you can actually possibly do damage that turn.

I feel like unless you're using Kanan+Captain Rex this isn't very viable, because that relies more on getting focuses to further reduce attacks coming in which matter a lot, while still doing damage with gunner, but on any other ship the kit is just a more expensive less usable version of a stresshog/mule.

I'd rather take R3-A2 Gunner Braylen tbh

Dirty tricks. Starviper or Punisher could use the torp/accuracy corrector combo, but not with Gunner.

Yes. I just know the rebel ships.

That's an awful lot of points for no damage.

It works but you shouldn't do it because it's a MASSIVE waste of points.

Unlimited firing doesn't help if you can't use it to kill anything.
