Anyone have the top 16 lists for tomorrow?

Paul Smith, playing Corran Miranda, won a very strong 120+ player Regional in Huddersfield, UK. He beat Tom Reed's double Casters (the ones he played in Top-16 Worlds) in the final. Knocked me out in Top-16 match because I'm a spanner, I definitely threw it away and still got him down to 1 hull left. Twice.

Miranda - TLT, Homing Missile, Conner Net, Ion Bombs, Extra Munitions, Advanced Slam, Sabine Wren (52)

NSW Australia was won by Jeff Dunster with RAC (Hot co-pilot, gunner, vader) and Ryad (with Juke iirc).

I didn't stick around for the top 4 and final games, but final was against Imp A-holes (Inq version) flown by Suresh Kumar.

The other top 4 lists were Commonwealth Defenders and a Miranda/Essege 2 K-WIng list).

Dash/Ghost and Miranda/Corran were knocked out at the top 8, didn't catch the others.

My PalpJousters (predator Ryad and Maarek and PalpShuttle) were knocked out by Dash/Ghost in top 16 (ultra happy to make the cut in my first Regionals).

Congratulations to Francisco Berna (top 8 Worlds 2015) for winning it. It was a harsh tournament with 90 players that felt more like a national than a regional due to the strong representation from Madrid, the Basque Country and Catalunya. I was eliminated in the quarterfinals by the runner up after going 6-0 in the swiss.

Why? Are they declaring independence? Or where they speaking catalonian and basque, and in spain, people know only their mother tongue, so they couldn't communicate or what?

Nothing like that, like most X-Wing communities we all got along fine. I just meant that there were representatives from approximately the northern half of Spain (I'm not aware of any player that came from further south than Madrid, but I might be mistaken), and that there were plenty of strong players, including two national champions, two Open winners (though one was the main organizer) and multiple regional winners.

It was! I had a lot of super close matches against skilled, friendly players, the event ran perfectly thanks to Abel (the Tatooine Open winner) and his organization, the "Asturoides," (from Asturias), and the location was in a hotel/restaurant in the countryside with an abundance of great food and delicious cider. After having attended a total of 5 regionals in 2 years of X-Winging, this one was easily the best so far.
