Vegas regionals final:

Jill McGlinchey flying Commonwealth Defenders

vs

Keith Graves flying Rebels

Miranda w/ HM, EM, ABT, C3PO, GC

Jan Ors w/ VI, TLT, Nien Nunb

Cracken w/ VI, HM, GC

And Keith takes it, 100-0! Jan and Miranda boost Miranda to a 6 shot Homing Missile, after cracken and Jans TLTs. Erased Ryad instantly. And at range 1, Miranda gets 4 dice autoblaster turret. Ouch.

I have run a similar list before. Absolutely wrecks things. I found the weakness to be Cracken who you kinda need to feed an action to Miranda. VI Ahsoka w/stolen tie should fix that problem.

But then you lose the Homing Missile attack from Cracken, that i think is also very important.

Yeah, double Homing Missile is the thing he's in for primarily - that first strike that ignores Evade tokens is what threatens a lot of the top lists more than just handing out an extra action.

That looks fimilar...

I had pretty much forgotten about that list. Haven't flown it in forever. Glad to see it actually become successful. Might have to borrow this version.

And thats the crux of the build. Cracken firing and giving Miranda the free action for the TL to fire the 2nd homing missile in the round. It's easy to get caught off guard when you don't realize the flow of action for that build.

Depending if Jans TLT made hits and if crackens missile made hits, miranda will seal the deal. When you can land a potential 12 dice on a target, youre killing something. so many over confident Dengars were kill in learning that mistake.

This is Keith Graves. Had a blast flying Overclocked Miranda.

In February, I won the LVO (Las Vegas Open) and the Vegas Regional with this. I came up with something that I felt could do well against Common Wealth defender, trip defenders and Paratanni.

It's still not easy against those list, but this gives you a chance.

Proud of you Keith. You represented Vegas well both as a player and in your work. :) Keith is a class act. We were pulling for you. -- JV

It is points destroyed for each of the Final Salvo players with the winner of the salvo getting the 1 tournament point for the win.

For Example: Each destroys 50 points at time. Each gets 50 points mov. Winner of the salvo gets the 1 tournament point.

That's not how MoV works. MoV is 100 + the difference in scores for the winner and 100 - the difference in scores to the loser. In your example, the difference in scores is 0 so the winner's MoV is (100+0) and the loser's MoV is (100-0).

X-Wing Tournament Regulations (Text Version), page 17:

"If both players have an identical score, each player receives a Margin of Victory of 100"

A game will only ever go to Final Salvo if both players have the same score, therefore all Final Salvo matches should award each player 100 MoV. If tournament software does something differently, it's not compliant with the scoring rules laid out by FFG.

To be totally fair, I had already won a regional with the Bossk/Fenn list, as Doug had with Echo. We were getting practice for Hoth/Worlds

I was 3-2 but on top tables. Didn't play any 2 lists that were even similar.

There's no range bonus for Autoblaster Turret as a secondary weapon, right? So while Miranda can boost it to 3 dice by donating a shield, there's no way to get to four unless I am missing something. Which is entirely possible. :)

It looks like I'm only missing Shaun Pechin's full list, and minor details about Travis Hailstone's (6Zs, but not sure of loadout/bid), William Wadden's (mostly if any bid at all), Adam Akers (double Ks, but unsure if Warden or Esege, and if any bid), and Alex Zoukas (any bid).

If anyone happens to have that info, and doesn't want to post it (maybe just raw # of replies), you can PM me if you like.

Heh - The quote was not my picture. For posterity's sake...
