Interpretation of the TO - you're looking for unsportsmanlike intent which is something that a 'to the letter' definition won't easily catch. It doesn't even need a change to the rules, just a clarification of what constitutes unsportsmanlike conduct.

"If the TO feels that, over multiple turns, a player is not making an honest effort to move their ships and engage the opponent then the TO should clearly warn the player on their conduct and remind them of their responsibility to engage in a sportsmanlike manner. Further offences should be considered Unsportsmanlike Conduct and be dealt with appropriately by the tournament floor rules."

Basically, fortressing = DQ.

That is such a can of worms, though. How many turns is too many? You will always have one angry player in those scenarios. Having played a lot of Sabine K-Wings I can only agree that Sabine (more specificaly her unlimited range - hey, where have I seen that one?) is what pushes it over the edge. I don't know if I mind, though. The squadrons made that aren't viable thanks to K-Wings are also big offenders on cutting down viability themselves (hello palpaces, goodbye generics with 3 or less dice). Removing (or limiting) the limitless 3 would be a good step towards a healthier game.

Make each of them only work on two range bands. Manaroo, Palpatine, and with ever growing popularity (because I thought the internet said bombs are bad) Sabine all are problematic with one thing in common.

Definition of multiple

  1. 1 : consisting of, including, or involving more than one

If you are within range1 of your start board edge and bump automatic facedown damage card

I agree with Pheaver. You guys really need to start your own thread for these complaints because it's getting hard enough to track regional results in a 21 page thread without unrelated comments about fortressing everywhere.

I didn't see anyone mention the Australia regional.

WINNER - Jaren Foss IMPERIAL (100)
Carnor Jax TIE Interceptor (34) Push the Limit + Royal Guard TIE + Autothrusters + Hull Upgrade

Rear Admiral Chiraneau VT-49 Decimator (66) Predator + Darth Vader + Gunner + Kylo Ren + Dauntless + Engine Upgrade

Video: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/121507177

Curious to see Jaren's match ups that day. If it can handle x7 Defenders this should be an honest contender in upcoming tourneys.

I don't have extensive results but I can say my friend Chuck Stocky won the Rochester, N.Y. regional flying his spicy version of palp aces:

Darth Vader - predator, engine, title, atc (37)

Quickdraw - expertise, title, electronic baffle (34)

OGP - Palpatine, collision detector (29)

He went entirely undefeated.

Daaaaang that's quite something in the current meta. Respect to him.

QD with Expertise is a nice thought, too. More expensive than I've a taste for but I can absolutely see the logic.

He had been running ptl but after some reflection and a few games against RAC hotshot gunner it just felt better to have expertise.

The list hits freaking hard and Quickdraw seems like the weak link but just vomits damage and usually manages to mitigate enough to be dangerous if you try and fail to snipe her out.

I'm interested that it's not Rage, primarily - it seems like QD will want for rerolls pretty badly with this build. Expertise is nice, but it doesn't do anything to blanks.

Rage is certainly an option but has some major drawbacks in that it requires an action (not bump proof), costs a shield and still leaves you stressed (greens are eh) and against the concerning matchup of hotshot doesn't do anything extra compared to expertise. While rerolling intuitively sounds stronger it's worth pointing out that without focus it's statistically identical to expertise. Rage is also less flexible because if you barrel roll you get no modification.

Rage has a place and certainly is a fine choice but as 1 of 2 serious ships in the list it seems prudent to go for the less self damaging and more flexible option.

Missed a word

Yah. The self damage I've always seen as a positive, not a negative of rage, but I usually fly Baffled Rage QD far too aggressively...

I can't find the Rochester Regionals results here or on Listjuggler, can someone post that winning list?

i see it now thanks. It was lost a few posts up to me.

Also counters Asajj ability. At range 1-2, if she stresses QD, she baffles it and gets two modded attacks against her and she cant use Latts.

Does electronic baffle allow quickdraw to perform a red maneuver and then shoot in the activation phase before anyone has tokens? And then shoot again normally in the combat phase?

Whoops forgot she was PS 9 so she is probably activating last.

Bonus points for getting Palpatine and Vader back together.

Nice to see Vader winning things again! :)

I'm mostly curious how that list fares with neither x7 nor autothrusters. I guess the trick is that both ships hit like a truck instead? How does it handle a Manaroo, who throws away your TLs?

Save her for last? There's more than enough firepower to forget about Mana and just annihilate whatever she's passing the tokens to first.

List juggler to follow, hopefully fully populated by sometime this week.

Ottawa regional was taken by Paratanni, in a mirror match, by a friendly guy from Toronto.

I placed second and faced a gauntlet of 3 paratannis, 2 commonwealth defenders, a horrible RAC/Carnor list, and various more original things. A lot of it was streamed/recorded and will be put up in the near future. Juggler is coming too.

I am wiped, I am going to bed!
