2016/2017 Regionals Season Results

By MajorJuggler, in X-Wing

For the Toulouse Regional (South of France, january 7-8), the results I remenber from this Weekend :

Final

Teroch/Fenn/Manaroo ("val") vs Teroch/Fenn/Manaroo ("Yannick"). Hadn't time to stay until the end of the match and I just remember one of the list (val) :

- Old Teroch w/ VI, title AT.

- Fenn, PtL w/ title, AT.

- Manaroo w/ recon Spe, unhinged Astro, PtL

The other list =>

#3 list "grozrikgaraz" :

- Kanan Jarrus w/ Rey (crew), Recon spe, Autoblaster turret, AC, APL, title

- Zeb w/ Chopper (crew), title

- ORS w/ Jan Ors, Hera (crew), Smuggling comp', Slicer Tools, Title (segnor's loop)

#4 list "Erelone" :

- Old Teroch w/ PtL, title, Stealth Device.

- Fenn w/ PtL, title, AT.

- Manaroo w/Adaptability, Feedback Array, (and forgot 1/2 others cards)

man this makes me so bitter. I considered taking a ORS to a regional just for the shock factor, and this guy here places top 4 with one...

I was about to comment that has to be a typo.

I beat one of the Reeds with ORS the other week.

Seattle Regionals was a great time. I went 4-2 and came in 20th place with the following list:

Warden Squadron Pilot

  • Extra Munitions
  • Advanced SLAM
  • Intelligence Agent
  • Seismic Charges
  • Conner Net

Warden Squadron Pilot

  • Extra Munitions
  • Advanced SLAM
  • Bombadier
  • Seismic Charges
  • Cluster Mines

Blue Squadron Pathfinder

  • Fire-Control System
  • Rey
  • Sabine
  • Seismic Charges
  • Pivot Wing

My only losses were to a Galaxy Note 7 list that out-bombed me (and ended up going to top 4), and to a four TIE Bomber list (three Scimitars and Tomax) that wiped a K-Wing off the board in the first exchange of fire by hitting it with two Homing Missiles and a Proton Torpedo. My wins were against

  • Palp Defenders
  • Dengar + Asajj
  • TLT Lothal Rebel with docked Ezra and TLT Roark Garnet (Conner Netted the Ghost off the board!)
  • Asajj + Fenn Rau + Binayre Pirate

I was only 56 MoV away from being in top 16, so I could have made if it I just killed one more of the Note 7's K-Wings and didn't lose one of my K-Wings in the last round of fire against Asajj/Fenn/Binayre. I really think if I had gotten a bit more practice against jousting/alpha strike lists, I also would have a had a better chance against the TIE Bombers, since there was only Scimitar left on the board when I lost.

Wait...all three of the Fenn/Teroch/Manaroo lists were NOT mindlinked?

I flew mindlink scyks with Manaroo in Seattle. It did not go well. :P

Plenty of fun regardless, and a very well-run event.

Does anyone have the final standings and lists of the Seattle Top 16?

Kyle on Facebook posted pics of the lists. I started to transcribe them, but lost interest halfway through and just saved the pictures to my HD. :D

No idea on final standing.

This still doesn't help me, as I don't have permission to view the picture. Bah!

Meta breakdown for Krakow Regionals 2017 last weekend (58 players)

1. Sandman - Commonwealth Defenders

2. Świetlik - Nora, Biggs, Jake Farell

3. Golonka - Palp + 3 Tie Strkiers

4. Dale Cromwell - 2 Defenders + Tie Striker

5. Agata Pikulska - Parattanni

6. Oliver-Jhon Hemmings - Bossk, Fenn, Z95

7. Jack Mooney - Fat Han + Jake

8. Maciek Paraszczak - Parattanni

9. Maryś - Super Corran + Super Miranda

10. Lemur - Swarm Defenders

11. Richard Sebok - Super Corran + Super Miranda

12. Paweł Kapalka - Swarm Defenders

13. Benjamin Toth - Ion Turret Chopper with shuttle, Brylen stress

14. Paweł Żochowski - Palob, Torkil, Asajj

15. Slaan - Veserry + 2 Tie Strikers

16. Michał Nowak - Asajj + Ketsu

Maryś have won with Corran + Miranda (Worlds runner-up list except Cluster Mines instead of Homing Missles on Miranda) against Paweł Kapałka with Swarm Defenders (Swarm Leader Vessery, PTL Ryad, x/7 Delta).

So we got like 5 Scum/5 Rebels/6 Imperials.

I believe there were only 6 TIE Strikes ships on whole tournament, and all of them made a Cut ;)

We had pleasure to host some quality players - Golonka Tatooine runner-up, Maryś Endor TOP4, Jack Mooney World TOP4, Ben Xie Yuan Lee Worlds TOP8 (aka Ben Rau - missed a cut by 3 mov points) and some Regional winners.

I think meta is pretty diverse.

Chris Norris won. He flew ML Fenn/Manaroo/Assajj vs. Quad TLT in the final (one had siesmic, one had stressbot). Don't know the rest of the 16.

Safe to say that list is easily the best mindlink list. Arguably one of the best Scum lists you can run.

I'll try to type up the lists tonight if someone hasn't posted by then. We need to get you in the Evergreen Squadron group, if you're on Facebook.

So Parattanni took another Regionals. I am so happy :)

That triple striker list is very interesting

I lost to the winner in seattle in the top 16!

That was a great game, mentally exhausting because I always guessed wrong what you were planning on until the end there, I was lucky we were both apprehensive about engaging

Seattle had a pair of 3 Striker lists, one with each of the aces plus Howlrunner and the other was 3 generics and Whisper.

I believe we had seven Strikers total, which probably accounts for half of all Strikers shipped to retail stores.

Yeap. 8/9 Fenn+Teroch+... (Partybus or Manaroo) list during the event with 0 attani version. Only 1 other player came with a paratanni list : he made it to pass on day 2 but not in the top8.

Results for Uppsala Regional Championship Jan 7-8 are found on listjuggler , as usual. There were 65 players, from all corners of Sweden. These are the most common list archetypes (yes, we categorized them somewhat freely):

One match from each round were streamed on youtube, and match reports will be provided by Veldrin.

Results from the Cleveland, TN Regional (Jan. 7) have been entered into List Juggler: http://lists.starwarsclubhouse.com/get_tourney_details?tourney_id=2464

Not all lists have been added.

Expertise Inquisitor...I'd be scared of not having focus for defense, but full dial baby! Awesome that he went top 4.

Thanks! That was me. :)

Awesome, I've been eyeing Expertise Inquisitor to get that full dial. Good to see I'm not crazy. I'm a big IPM fan, but I'm also thinking about Cluster Missiles as a stand in for Prockets.
