Cool to see echo winning.

Omaha was won by Doug Howe with Chirpy and Echo.

All I want to know is did Chirpy have Palp on board?

Negative.

VI, Hot Shot Co-Pilot, Gunner, Engine Upgrade.

Yesssssss. My dream! A non-Palp, non-x7 Imperial list with a regional win!

The WI Regional has Dash/Poe vs Miranda/Biggs/Braylen.

Dash/Poe just won.

You don't happen to know the specifics of the dash /poe build do you?

Ye old standard Super Dash & Poe w/Predator, Autothrusters, R2-D2, and Sensor Clusters. Sensor Clusters are a PAIN on Poe. I kind of liked his opponent's build on Miranda, but definitely adding more Homing Missiles.

Tyler Barnett just beat Ben Keller to win the Durham NC regional, playing Dengaroo:

Interesting upgrades for the list that came 2nd.

Maarek Stele + TIE/x7 + Guidance Chips + Juke

Carnor Jax + Royal Guard TIE + Push the Limit + Autothrusters + Guidance Chips

Omicron Group Pilot + Sensor Jammer + Emperor Palpatine + Guidance Chips

:P

Could anyone post a 'real' photo of this years prizes please?

Negative.

VI, Hot Shot Co-Pilot, Gunner, Engine Upgrade.

Interesting. HSCP with Gunner is brutal. Shuts Poe and R5-P9 down for sure.

This announces to be a very balanced meta with Dash/Dengaroo/Chirpy each winning... i like it.

We do have a lot more tools to deal with this than we had in 2015 however...

Fortunately you are right, I was mostly joking. These lists can win, but they won't be the absolutely dominating archetype. As it should be!

I took these at Worlds:

Congrats dude, but the artwork on that Red Ace looks horrible imho.

man... those are really sparkly....

I was the Miranda, Braylen, Biggs guy. I've gone back and forth on Extra Munitions or Rey crew. Ultimately, I like Rey better. It allows me to bank a focus turn one, and take the TL turn two or three, after the opponent has tipped their hand a little more and I know what target I can get in arc. Speaking of arc, it's a little more difficult to get the opponent in arc a 2nd time to get the other missile off. And having banked focuses really help make the TLT dominate late game, when you can modify both shots.

It would have been really nice to have another missile shot in that last game, but I think the real deciding factor in that game was Braylen going down so quickly. The first three rounds of combat, he managed to get Braylen in Arc at range 3, and Biggs out of range. If Biggs went down before Braylen, and could have stress out Poe, I think Miranda could have closed it out.

Finals in San Diego, Dengaroo vs Palp-defenders.

...and Dengaroo won.

The ending of that one was awesome. Direct hit to kill Dengar and then revenge shot at Ryad to kill her, with a Weapons Failure on Dengar too.

Make no mistake, I do love your squad. A lot of my thoughts are tweaks I would make for my own preferences.

Omaha Regionals are up on List Juggler.

Winning list was TWO bumpmasters and one torpedo boat, all with mindlink. 9-0 on the day.

[edit] Correction: the two bumpmaster and torpedo boat came in SECOND, losing to RAC + Echo.

Uhhh . . . no? I was there -- the bumpmasters lost. Echo and Chirpy won fairly decisively (although it didn't help that neither painbot nor APLs triggered the whole game). Probably someone just entered it in Juggler wrong.

Noted, I just let Sean know!

With all do respect Major Juggler, the Echo/Deci took Omaha. So the reporting is false on that particular event.

Edit: Never mind, looks like it is settled. Apologies.

So none of these 'terrible defenders' are winning yet...

Because most players are countering them at this point.

Exactly. Just because they aren't winning the final round doesn't mean the entire meta isn't warped by them. You either a) have a counter to them, b)run an equally powerful list (which is limited to maybe Dengaroo), or c) you run a strong list with no counter to them and run the risk of running in to them and losing to them almost certainly.

Most players are smart enough to choose option a or b.

(looks at the top squads so far)

I would hardly call that warping. Are they a gatekeeper, sure. But I think there were stuff in the past that was more warping than Defenders.
