SF missile as 2nd shot???

By Storgar, in X-Wing

Can you use the 2nd shot from the rear to fire a missile?

title

When attacking with a primary weapon from your primary firing arc, you may roll 1 additional attack die. If you do not, you may perform an additional attack from your auxiliary firing arc.

So if you do not roll the extra die can you fire a missile from the rear as the 2nd shot?

If so, combined with backdraft you would be able to add a crit to the roll

When attacking a ship inside your auxiliary firing arc, you may add 1 (crit) result.

Homing missile would be 4 dice, use TL to reoll, GC turn a die to a hit, then add a crit for BD ability.

You can't use secondaries out the auxiliary arc.

had a feeling that might be the case but couldn't quite remember, ah well.

You can't use secondaries out the auxiliary arc.

The Ghost can, right?

Nope (ghost doesnt have an aux arc)

It has a "special arc"

No tailgunner for you

But yes to butt torps

You can't use secondaries out the auxiliary arc.

The Ghost can, right?

Sort of with its butt-blast torpedoes, but then again Ghost isn't a TIE/sf.

The Ghost's special arc is so weird that I wouldn't ever try and use it as a precedent for any rule argument.

Oh i wasn't trying to argue any rules. I just wanted to make sure i wasn't remembering wrong.
