are you allowed to use bossk (pilot) ability early? or does it have to be after your dice modification step?

I ask this in regard to autoblaster, are you allowed to autoblaster, get a crit, bossk the crit before your opponent rolls defense dice.

It has to be after Compare Results, so it doesn't help with autoblasting.

Bossk's ability only takes effect if there's an uncancelled [kaboom] remaining after all the dice results have been compared and you know the attack has hit.

The effect of both Bossk and Autoblaster take place later in the attack sequence than the dice modification step.

Autoblaster happens while results are being compared. Bossk happens after a hit has been confirmed and you are dealing damage.

An Autoblaster is a really bad fit for Bossk because it decreases the chances of any crit results getting through the defender's evade results since crit results are the only thing that can be canceled by the defender.
