No, it doesn't, in either case.Aww cheers mate! That card just seems really bad. In one case you're just changing your crits into hits, on average, which is neutral to bad, in the other, you're replacing your dice with dice that only have crits on them and all the other faces are blank, which is terrible .
I like the concept, but I'd probably look at going Stutter: change 1 blank to an hit, and all crits to hits. Quad: Change 1 eye to a crit. That means if you know they have shields enough to block your crits anyway, or their HP is low, you can make hitting much more likely, but if they don't have any shields or you don't have a focus token, you can make critting more likely. It gives you the choice between quantity of hits or quality of hits.
No offence, but making a ship that's already bad, significantly worse...
doesn't fix it.
I also like your idea. Mine does give a 5/8 chance of a hit instead of 1/2 (4/8) but at the expense of no crit, or 3/8 chance of a hit but all crits. Neither of those options are intrinsically worse.
A normal die looks like this:
bbbfhhhc
A stutter die in your proposal looks like this (changes in bold):
bbb h hhh b
(i.e. you trade a crit and an eye for a hit and a blank, which is neutral if they have a bunch of shields and bad if they're on hull, and worse if you have a focus token you're willing to spend on the attack)
A Quad die looks like this (changes in bold):
bbb cbbbc
(i.e. you trade 2 hits for blanks and the third for a crit, which is really bad unless you're talking about a low agility ship with no shields, and even then, it's probably not good, and again, worse if you have a focus token)
Not QUITE as bad as I initially made out, maybe, but not good.
Are you under the impression that the red die has two eyes on it? Because it doesn't.
I really like the concept of making use of the linked vs stutter fire thing from the Rogue Squadron games (little more satisfying than lining up a TIE perfectly in quad fire and vaping it in a single trigger pull) but your version sounds worse to me than the regular attack dice whichever way up you have it.
-Runs to my x wing box to pull out some dice-
My red dice have 2 blanks, 2 eyeballs, 3 hits, and 1 crit.
Green dice have 3 blanks, 2 eyeballs, 3 evades.
I think you might need to check your own red dice. If your red dice have more blanks than a regular one, I would suggest contacting ffg for a replacement.

I don't have mine to hand, but it's eminently possible I've been doing my probability maths wrong for a year.

In this contest, I would like:
in card (not text) format.
"Rebel Only" header
"you may not equip this card if you action bar has boost"
or "you may not equip this on a ship with the tech icon.
Honestly, I would guess " Non-Boost X-wing only " or " Non-Tech X-wing only " should be good enough.
Are we likely to get Imperial or Scum X-wings? What do you think?
I completely forgot about the Rebel sub-faction Rebel Alliance.

I think "Rebel Alliance only" is the cleanest way to do it. "Rebel only" includes T-70s because both the Resistance and Rebel Alliance are in the Rebel primary faction.
I can't make a card card till I get a new pc - I think I'm limited on my phone.

Here's my suggestion:
I've seen the S-Foils idea come up a bunch, so I thought I'd take a stab at it.
Flipping the card at the start of the Activation phase, (rather than the End), keeps the X-wing unpredictable, as well as adaptable, two things it currently lacks.
In addition to the powerful repositioning of the SLAM action, the Closed side actually lets R2-D2 trigger twice if you SLAM.**
The attack is reduced both for balance, and to fit with the lore, where some x-wings were built to retain the ability to fire while locked in flight position, but there was still a danger of overheating your weapon system, hence the "reduced attack power" I gave it while in this state.
The Open side gives the ship a little-bit more offensive reliability, with the possibility for keeping a focus token for defense. My original idea was it let you change one "die result" to a hit, but I thought that might be too OP for the cost I wanted, especially against 1 Agility ships.**
** I could see adding back the Auto-Hit, and raising the cost two 2, or 3, to balance the strength of this with paired R2-D2. But he's unique, and I don't want to punish a squadron of the x-wing just incase one happens to have him onboard.
Edited by Radarman5A year or so ago, I announced the perfect Xwing title, snergising with unused droids and pilots while buffing across the board.
3 months later FFG announced the exact card I championed... for the Tie Inquisitor. Evade token when the Xwing takes a TL.
Dude, I totally hear you. Check out this post I made BEFORE Scum was even announced.
My JumpMaster is nearly identical to what we got, same stats and similar cost, different upgrade bar. My Dengar's ability was "Once per round, after you perform an attack that does not hit, you may perform a second attack, the defender increases their agility value by 1." so kind of a mix of him, IG88-B, and Zuckuss. Also mine was 2 Attack, forward arc, and my Punishing One title made it a 3 attack PWT for 7 points. I never finished the dial so that just a filler. and I had to use System slot since there wasn't a Salvaged astromech yet, and I didn't want R2D2 riding shot gun with him.
I've seen a few other ideas from the forum make their way into the game in some form. We know Davy and Brookes come here, and honestly if they're trying out our ideas, I'm all for it. They want to design us (and sell us) the game we want to play after all.
How do you upload photos from an iPhone? I don't see an option to do anything but submit text. I have a card to upload.

The easiest way is to upload it to a site like photobucket .com, imgur.com, or postimg.org. They'll give you a link to post in forums in text form.
I don't have an iPhone so if there's any other issues involved in posting them, I can't really help you with them.
It's used too much, I know, but I still get a chuckle....

Ha, ha, ha!!! I've never seen this! This is fantastic! I love it! Thanks for sharing this one !
I have one to put up but don't know how to put a picture in here, can anyone help please?

Really odd. I dug out my retired iPhone out of curiosity, and the first time I logged on I had all the options I have on my PC, but after the next time there is nothing. It logged me off on my PC, so I wonder if it wasn't something to do with being logged on there first.
In any case what you need to know is how to copy and paste, which is by putting your finger on the link and waiting for those options. The site I use to upload images is Flickr, mainly because of the image size options. There is a Flickr app but I've never used it. Here is a sample link and all of the size links
https://www.flickr.com/photos/dullspork/28765262185/sizes/l/
https://c2.staticflickr.com/8/7549/28765262185_d9189571b8.jpg
After you have a copy of the link and paste it here you need to add
[img=
at the beginning and the ] at the end.
[img=https://c2.staticflickr.com/8/7549/28765262185_d9189571b8.jpg]
like so. When you do a preview it will show the image not the code.
If you do happen to get all the text editing options then select the image button and paste the link there.

The idea here is that it's an auto include for integrated astromech, or you can get crazy and double mod without integrated. I got the idea from thinking of how I would real world trick out my T-65. I don't use torps that much, so let's pull those out and add a little something back in. Then I did a search and found that the Recon-X was a modified T-65 that had it's torp tubes removed to allow for modifications to make it a better recon ship...hence the name Recon-X title.

Version 5
I have to disagree with you a little bit.
Edited by gabe69velasquezI don't personally like the idea of the target lock functionality. How often will it fly solo and capalize from it for others. Maybe making it able to target lock from any range would be more fitting. As for my title, I was going for making the t65 more maneuverable.
I was thinking of a target locking Recon title as well. Honestly it's a toss up between bigunb and gabe. Initially I thought to TL from any range, but then is a little too much like Long range sensors. Gabe's idea is interesting and different, but I'm not sure how often it'll help. If you're not in range to TL then you're not in range to shoot, which would seem to leave the Recon X alone, yet in harm's way.
I'm seeing an interesting combination of the two however.
Mine at the farthest doubles the range, but yours makes a shared target lock from anywhere on the board.
Did you intend for them to have a free target lock action as well or just the range for when they perform their actions?
Wow, these are really good.
Hope FF listens. The X-Wing and Rebels need a big boost.
I initially thought to have it for generics only but figured it would get more use this way.
The after check pilot stress condition instead of when receiving a stress token is basically is so you can't push the limit and do a third action.
Could also be suitable for Y-Wings... PS9 Horton Salm!
