Everyone keeps posting great T-65, Rogue Squadron, as well as other fantastic titles for X-wings. But I would like to stop searching for the perfect title and see the best that you can come up with! In this contest, I would like people to post their ideas for Rebel Alliance (T-65) X-wing titles in card (not text) format. At the end of the month, I will post a Google Form and let everyone vote for which card they think is the best. Please try and make cards simple by using the "Rebel Alliance Only" header and no "you may not equip this card if you action bar has boost" or "you may not equip this on a ship with the tech icon. Thank you and may the best card win!
X-wing Title Card Contest
It would help if you were to supply a link to a custom card creator.
I'll see what I can do.
Edited by Shadow345Good idea Dagonet, thanks. The best card creators are probably Strange Eons and next Photoshop, unless you know one you like better.
°Red Five
Title, X-wing, non T70
When defending add a [focus] die to the roll.
I want to see a bunch of titles tailored to each Rogue Squadron pilot honestly.
Incom's Finest
X-Wing only. Rebel Alliance only. Title.
When you execute a maneuver, you may place the template at any position at the rear of the base.
TX-65
X-Wing only. Rebel Alliance only. Title.
Your upgrade bar gains the <crew> icon.
T-65BR
X-Wing only. Rebel Alliance only. Title.
Your upgrade bar loses the <torpedo> icon.
Lower your attack rating by 1.
Your upgrade bar gains the <systems> icon.
WingMan - When attacking, if the defender has another Friendly ship in its firing arc at range 1-3, you may add 1 hit result
Or
Rebel retrofit - when attacking, you may spend a target lock you have on the defender to add 1 hit result
Or
Integrated astromech - limited, -1 cost, you must equip an astromech with a cost of 3 or fewer squad points, plus the discard text
Does it specifically have to be a title upgrade?
High yield Launchers
Torpedo slot, 1 point, Xwing only (inc T70)
You may equip another Torpedo upgrade without paying its squad point cost. When you attack with a torpedo secondary weapon, you may turn 1 blank result into a hit.
Cheap Proton, Ion and Advanced torps, with a built in Chimp that stacks with Guidance Chimp if you give up Integrated.
Rogue Leader: unique 1 point. Xwing only Rebel Alliance only
After executing a maneuver, you may perform a free target lock action. You may not equip this card if your pilot skill is 6 or lower.
Rogue Squadron: 0 points. Xwing only
At the start of the combat phase, you may acquire a target lock on the ship that is Target Locked by Rogue Leader.

Your T65br title turns an X-wing into the worlds most expensive Z95 so that better be like -10 points!
Yeah, I'm not happy with it either.
Here's my suggestion:
Quad-Linked Cannons (0-1 point)
X-wing only
While attacking, if the defender is in your firing arc at range 1-2, you may make the defender reroll 1 (evade) result.
The x-wing in either incarnation is a jouster. It trades dice. In its current incarnations it can't do that well. One of the defining features of the x-wing is its 4 laser cannons, mounted on s-foils. The s-foils are meant to increase the spread on the shots making it more difficult to dodge (in theory). This may not 100% fix the x-wing, but it feels like the right direction. It doesn't overtly change any of the x-wings stats and it won't always work. It will improve the offense of everyones favorite space superiority craft without changing its role or stepping on another ships toes (in faction).
Any X-Wing fix has to be either movement or attack related so it does not overpower the Mustachioed one. So I was thinking.
Dogfighter (title) 0 points
X-Wing only. Alliance only.
While you do not have a stress token you may treat your 4K maneuver as white.
When you reveal a white maneuver you may perform a free boost or barrel roll action.
This would make the X-Wing a great jouster/arc dodger without overpowering Biggles or helping R2-D2 at all. Also has room for counter play because there are lots of ways an opponent can stress you.
This is my first custom X-Wing card, so it's not super accurate as far as fonts and sizes go.
I threw this together in 30 minutes, so the rules-writing probably needs to be adjusted as well. The basic idea is that if you go for a formation joust -- or even if you get in a dense furball where you all converge from different directions -- you can reroll dice by being close together. Having the ability to reroll rerolled dice means that you can still use target locks to reroll the blanks that you got after this card kicks in. It also means you could go for Proton Torpedoes and Guidance Chips, if you wanted. The target lock can be used to launch the ordnance while the title can reroll the blanks and all but one of your focus results (since the Proton Torpedo takes care of that!).

I've seen people suggest something like the new U-Wing Title card.
A Dual Sided card for S-Foils. Attack bonus when open and an Agility/Movement bonus when closed?
Takes an Action to Flip the Card.
Maybe a free Boost when closed? I'd say help with evades but that would help Biggs.
Adding an Attack Die when open might be a bit much... I like BleakSquadron's idea of making people re-roll evade dice.
Maybe add an Attack Die but you can only do 1 and 2 speed maneuvers?
I wouldn't know what to cost it but any fix can't cost more than 1 or 2 points yea?
Here's one I've posted before that I think works, allowing the freedom of Integrated Astromech and another upgrade of your choice, inspired by Smuggling Compartment but at a cost of one to prevent potentially broken x-wings.
This is a different idea I had to basically allow you to set up an aggressive focus and target lock combo in one move. I made it cost 2 so that if you combined it with R2 astromech it would basically cost 3 points which seemed ok for an upgrade. Should it cost less?
Ohhhh I have tought of 1000000000000000³ T-65 titles for the x-wing over the years

- S-Foils closed when defending add 1 green dice (action turn this card over)
CorSec refit 1 point

A year or so ago, I announced the perfect Xwing title, snergising with unused droids and pilots while buffing across the board.
3 months later FFG announced the exact card I championed... for the Tie Inquisitor. Evade token when the Xwing takes a TL.

Great minds thing alike? Or the designer do indeed take a look in the forums ...
Here we go for mine :
Deflection calculator : 0 points
Torpedo - T65 Xwing only
When attacking at range 3, if you have a target lock on your opponent, your opponent does not receive defensive bonus from range.
Trench Runner : -4 points
Title - T65 Xwing and Y-wing only, Rebel only
You must equip a proton torpedo. You cannot fire outside your firing arc.
Rogue Squadron pilot : -2 pts
Title - T65 Xwing only - PS4+ only
When defending, you can change one blank to a focus. Gain an EpT if you don't have one.
Rogue squadron Ace : 0pt
Title - T65 Xwing only - PS6+ only
When defending, you can change one blank to a focus.
After you performed an attack that hit, gain a focus token if you don't have one.
Advanced auxiliary thrusters : 1pt
Modification - X-wing only
When revealing a turn manoeuver, you may reduce its bearing by 1. If you do so, skip the "perform action" phase.
Energy management : 0pt
Modification - T65 Xwing only
Dual Card
- Full shields : add Evade action to your action bar. After performing an action, you can flip this card.
- Full throttle : your 3-speed moves are considered green. After performing an action, you can flip this card.
S-Foils (dule card) (could be a Modification card instead of a title) -0 points
- S-Foils open when attacking add 1 red dice (action turn this card over)
- S-Foils closed when defending add 1 green dice (action turn this card over)
Nope. Please no pigeon-wing ! S-flois are opened for combat (and a game of X-wing IS a combat situation), period.
Edited by GiledhilReally liked your ideas, Giledhil. Deflection Calculator would see a lot of use, imo. And I'm also sick of hearing people talking about s-foils: just because people keep saying it doesn't make it a good idea.
Prow Thrusters. Torpedo. 0 points.
Whatever restriction (my preference is 'errata all the x-wing pilot cards to read 't65 x-wing', thus fixing the problem for good rather than writing round it).
When you reveal a bank manoeuvre, you may instead perform a straight or turn manoeuvre of the same speed and difficulty.
There, your x-wings now have green turns (1 turns no less), go nuts.
(I initially thought of this as a StarViper fix)
