He didn't technically say t65. He said x wing and talked about Heroes being the help they needed. I would be surprised if they're not working on it but it's best to not jump the gun.

In the future.

I thought this forum had a profanity filter, seriously.

He specifically said that he wasn't going to promise anything, it was just a list of things they knew needed looking at - Starviper, Kasdjz, Syck and X-Wings being the ones I remember him mentioning. It was just a part of a pitch to get people into the game - that they never leave a ship behind (eventually).

He didn't say he was going to fix it. He said they wanted to keep old ships competitive and they know that the T-65, Kyrax, and Syck aren't competitive.

Yeah I don't see how HOTR helps the T65 at all. He must of been talking about the T70.

Though that sick af X wing scene from the newer Rogue One trailer gives me confidence a tie in product will have X wings. We'll probably get something than.

The exact quote will be important, if anyone has it. I didn't see the stream.

Yep, wait until either after, or right at, Rogue One release and we'll see something tied into it more than just the U-Wing and TIE Striker, I would wager.

Well it was part of a 10 minute or so talk during down time about how good X-Wing is and why you should play it. tbh I don't think it was anything that hasn't been said in some of the podcasts.

The "fixes" will arrive neither early nor late. They will arrive precisely when they mean to.

I can't imagine they let Rogue One, with all those sweet T-65's, pass them buy without selling us some more T-65's in X-Wing.

Whether they are the Black/White paint scheme or not I know I'd want to get some new T-65 toys and cards.

I like the idea that the slight nerf to Biggs was prep for some new T-65 cards. Wishful thinking?

PS I'm super excited for the U-Wing as a ship. I don't know how it'll fit into X-Wing but it looks cool to me!

It will be a thing, unless it gets the "worst" dial the game has seen so far.

Business-wise, why wouldn't FFG jump on the chance to sell an X-Wing expansion that includes at least one X-Wing (maybe two) with the Partisan paint scheme from Rogue One, includes new pilots, and could include modifications and/or titles that buff the classic T-65 X-Wing? It's been made clear on the forum that people want to fly the T-65 more, especially at the competitive level.

Well based on the dual card it appears to have at least a 0 maneuver and can do a 180 off it.

"What the hell am I looking at?"

Unless the T65 fix is on the same level of the X7 fix what's the point? Even if you gave the T65 a free evade token after it performed ANY maneuver, would it possibly be able to keep up with the X7?

Probably not. But you'd be able to take more of them.

Not every fix has to be defensive.

An alternative T65 fix could be make it a glass cannon. Immense firepower, but can die to a stiff breeze if not flown properly.

It would also set them further apart from their T70 counterparts: which are already more defensive with +1 shields and a tech that usually only helps their defense.

or

Elusiveness. Not the card, just the term. Something along the lines of the sfoils to allow the T65 to skirt around in ways other ships cant. That way it would be more like the SF in terms of durability: its not that it IS durable, its the fact that it just simply doesnt get shot at due to its odd flight pattern.

Everyone that suggests a fix to ANY ship is 99% of the time purely defensive.

That'd be hilarious. With Integrated Astromech, they're already pretty close to being worthwhile. A free Evade token every round would push them well and truly into play.

As for when? Yeah, Rogue One will release the balance patch. Scum Aces is less clear, but traditionally they fall 'between' waves, so we'll just have to see.

Either way though, don't expect it to be automatically superior to the Defender fix - the Defender was starting in a much weaker position, and to be honest they overdid it even then. I quietly expect the patch to come out with a subtle nerf to the Defender patch, so that way the ships are closer to alignment once more.

This will yet again play merry havok with my balance analysis, because I'm not used to having to account for nerfs. :P

In this case more firepower is more thematic in my opinion.

I am not a fan of integrated astromech. It was the "fix" card that locks you out of other fixes like autothrusters or guidance chips or fun stuff like vectors thrusters or EI. WOULD have been cool had it either allowed another mod slot or been a title. In a perfect world for me integrated would have been:

Integrated astromech, title, x wing or e wing only, -1 cost, you must equip an astromech upgrade worth 3 or fewer squad points. Plus the discard text.
