Has anyone run or played in an evil Star Wars Game? If so, did it play well with the system and was it fun?

Nice to hear. The hobby shop I go to has overnight holiday one shots and I'm running the game next Halloween and need to plan for it. I was thinking the fall of the Sith Empire and having my party race for the Sith Artifacts against the first Jedi Order, what do you all think?

Right now my PCs are trying to track down Rakata artifacts, for use in galactic conquest. We had another session today—next week, they're gonna get to talk to a Hutt. Who imprisoned a former Reclamation Service archaeologist, due to some stuff that I can't explain at 1 am. Especially since my body thinks it's 2 am. I should probably sleep...

Anyway, it's going great, they're currently at +95 XP, and there has been a grand total of one single Triumph rolled. Now they have a Very Good Keycard that used to be a seventeen-year-old Jedi card. Long story, involving a lot of Computers checks and a hole in the floor.

Which fall of which Sith Empire?

I was thinking the Rule of One or having my players be dark side sensitive just after the fall of the empire

Right now I'm running a TOR era game with my characters being Force sensitives that weren't with either the Jedi or the Sith things went that they eventually found some old Jedi knowledge that led them to the creation of their Lightsabers but in the process alerted a Sith that was on the planet training his apprentice to them my players killed the apprentice and then were captured by the Sith Master and taken to Korriban where they have been forced to go through Sith training.

Where it is gonna go from there I'm not sure as one of my players both in and out of character is really cool with being a Sith and the other kinda hates the Sith so seeing where things go should be interesting.
