So quick question can I assume that the party picked me up off of Dathomir or do I have to find a way to get off? Backstory wise that is. I'll write something up when I get the time today or tomorrow.
In All Things, Balance OOC
At least maybe something that would make sense as to how you got to be with the party. I came up with something (by accident) that would make sense why I would be involved in this endeavor.
I added a bit more to show what makes Zoma tick.
This will be my first time participating in a PbP, can some one maybe explain how they are typically run/how I should conduct myself as a player/how the general flow works? What goes in the OOC thread or in the IC thread and so on. The earlier I work through these the less formidable the learning curve will be
Yeah, the current problem for Kumro is also how she's going to get off her homeworld—it's basically low-tech theocratic caste-based space Australia (in the "originally a prison colony" sense, not the "everything trying to kill you" sense), but I have her finding an ancient-but-still-working holocommunicator from the original colony ship. I need to have that translate to her getting off the planet, somehow.
Hm. Easiest way would be for one of the other party members to have picked up the phone, I think. (Maybe even Bull, after he got off Dathomir? Given that he was in a somewhat similar situation—with the 'needing to get offworld' part, at least—he might have the most motivation to do that. Dunno, since I don't know much about Bull yet.)
Edited by The Shy IonI don't know much about Bull yet either Ion, I'm just really busy today to think on Character motivations but I'll think up some things, sooner rather that later I hope.
Odds just be a nice person and do what the GM wants, if he wants rolls in IC roll in the IC or vice versa it generally depends on GM. Ion and I have both been in Games before and we are both in Clone Wars together. So all your questions should be answered in time.

Sounds good, I've been wanting to be a part of another campaign for a while, so I'm definitely looking forward to it.
Honestly I'm still trying to figure out exactly how I want to put into what thread. As I stated in the opening post, there will be some GM growing pains, though hopefully nothing too bad.
On another note, are there any objections to a ship as the group resource? If not, then you will be crew serving under Captain Yazil of the ship That Blasted Mynok!. There is a bit of a story behind the name of the ship if that's what the group decides on.
Ah! The captain is an NPC? What are they like?
You'll find no objections from me
I'm ok with a ship, unless we really want a Holocron or Master.
I have only played Edge of the Empire, so I know nothing about those ![]()
Edit: Maybe I should have disclaimed that to everyone first.
Edited by DefyTheOddsYeah its something FAD added, if the party wants the other two I'd be fine with it, but having a ship right out of the gate is a lot of saved time and credits, a holocron can easily be the goal of an adventure and a Master can be found in the Stars... GM willing.
Alright, I think I figured out a way for Kumro to get off-planet. I'll be revising the backstory a bit more, but I did decide on a Morality—Independence/Anger. Which will make more sense when I get the backstory up.

Yezil is a mirialan woman that has a fiery personality and a mouth foul enough to impress a hutt. That having been said, she has a soft spot for strays and a fierce, unbreakable loyalty to her crew. Her views towards Empire or Rebels could be summed up as: "my give-a-****'s busted"
Note to self, stick to posting on computer or you will get a double post.
But, the story behind the name of the ship is a bit of a funny one.
When Yezil first got her ship officially registered so that she could work in Imperial space, she had been dealing with a mynok problem for weeks. One particular mynok just refused to die or be properly spaced. So as she was on call with an imperial official, the mynok in question made a reappearance. That Blasted Mynok! is a...cleaned up version of what Yezil said just after the official asked for the ship's name.
The ship's original name was The Event Horizon, but Yezil liked That Blasted Mynok! better.
Edited by MeribsonOoh that might be super useful for a backstory, this captain could use some muscle and muscle that's scary and mean well that's what Bull is I can use this, Thanks.

Does that mean I'm going to have to be friends with her and everything? That could lead to some witty banter and intercrew tension
You can have loyalty towards people without being their friends. The best example I can think of is Jamie and Adam from Mythbusters. They hold deep respect for each other but on a personal level can't stand each other. In this case, Yezil is more likely to engage in friendly ribbing about staying out of politics while on her ship. But if it comes down to it, she will choose her ship and crew over the Empire or the Rebels.

I think I like that actually, plus it gives me a perfect way of getting onto the ship and on to the crew. I was building Zoma to be super seclusive, but if I have it that he was sort of adrift in the wide world after leaving Mirial it could be logical that he gravitated to something he found familiar in a fellow Mirialan.
Alright everyone, I'm on finally, sorry...
I am Ora, the Consulor
I'll post again once I read the thread from its beginning...
Ok, so after reading the thread in its entirety I can now make some intelligent comments. (sorry for double post, but my other post wont show up until approved, so I couldn't edit it...)
First, I'm in MST so right now its 12:43 pm. I don't recall how that works with GMT, but its one hour later than California.
So how Ora got on the ship: Ora is a mediator (the neutral party negotiator in a conflict) and he booked passage on The Even... er... The Blasted Mynok! so that he could get to the dispute on the planet in question (the name escapes me at the moment).
Things to know about Ora: He's cold. Almost emotionless. This comes from him needing to be very placid in difficult negotiations. He carries a stun blaster, and an ancient sword. The blaster is for if things get out of hand, and the sword is for impact during negotiations. He puts it on the negotiation table until the tension has eased and the two parties are calm and willing to compromise, then he removes it form the table, and replaces it with a contract that the two parties write to formalize the compromises. The sword is functional though, and he is trained in using it in combat.
Would i be okay if I joined? If not, I'll be watching with interest.
I am looking to try out the armourer spec in conjuctiom with warleader and see how that turns out
Still recovering from the election. I'm just numb right now. Maybe I'll be more recovered later today, but, if you don't see me around, this is why.

Give me some more details on what you're thinking first. If I like what I hear and think it will fit in well with the group and story I have planned then I'll add you in.

I think many of the forum members share your pain, it is a shell of its former activity, I for one feel sick.
