Recruiting for an in-person-turned-pbp game.

As I already have 2 players involved, I am accepting a limit of 3 additional players.

I'm limiting character creation options to F&D core, Keeping the Peace, and Nexus of Power, as those are the only hardbooks I have.

As this campaign involves a lot of planet hopping, I'm setting the default group resource as a ship. Unless the group votes otherwise, the ship will be a YT-1300 named That Blasted Mynok!.

[NOTE: As this is my first time GMing a play-by-post game, I'm going to ask that everyone be patient with any initial confusion over the medium.]

A bit of background: The PCs are en route to a dig site on Iridonia currently under dispute by the local university and the extremely wealthy family who owns the land that the dig site is on. The family insists that as they were the first to settle the region (a fact corroborated by all historical records) all such artifacts are family property and all remains are their ancestors. The university says that there is no way to be sure of that without first testing the remains or artifacts. The university receives a large amount of funding from the Galactic Empire, and a member of the family was just promoted to Moff of the sector. All of this is set about a year before ANH.

Oh, wow! Another PbP! I am always up for PbPs.

If there weren't already a Sentinel, I'd make a Shadow. Maybe I'll go for a Mystic. Mystic sounds fun.

I'd actually really like to join, but I've never played in a pbp so I would have to ask for that same patience over my growing pains as well.

I haven't made a character in the F&D but if you'll allow it I'd like to reserve a spot and then I'll make a character and add it later

Well count me in I'll post a character sheet soon enough. I really like the beefy classes so I'll decide between Warrior and Gaurdian.

Provided you have a reason for leaving Dathomir, I see no problems.

Hey all. I'll the player of Kai Mantica. Most of the inspiration for this character comes from Kaylee of Firefly fame. I hope we all have fun with this one.

Just a note that I'm still trying to figure out which Strength/Weakness fits best. (And I also managed to confuse Justice/Cruelty as Justice/Vengeance... I think I blame Dragon Age.)

That is actually a good idea, everyone putting their backstories up on the OOC thread makes it easy to find them in one place.

Question, where is everyone located? I'm just trying to get an idea as to when most people will be active. I am in the GMT -5 time zone. I may be able to make a post for two while at work, but most will come after 5/6PM

In answer to the location question, I live in GMT -8, and for the most part I can post throughout the day. My schedule is not something that I frequently know in advance more than a day or two.

Alright I'll add a section for personality traits and what not when I get around to it.
