Congratulations JJs Juggernaut! May the Meta Continue to DIE!

Four Reb's in the top 4.

Y-wings and Dodonna.

BCC's stack.

Truly a great day for our beloved game!

I guess it helps that JJs flying was submicron-level precise!

Thank you for completely ruining all the public assumptions about the game, once again proving this is The People's Game.

Well done JJ.

Took watching you play to understand the fleet. Now I've seen it I like it.

JJ is perhaps the most precise listbuilder I've seen. There's an elegance to his lists that only a few other players I've seen rival. And as we all saw today, he's an exceptionally precise pilot. I doubt his success today surprises any of us who have had the good fortune to witness his skill either on the table or through vassal. I'm very excited to see what he cooks up in the upgrade card department!

I'm running a tournament today, hoping there's a VOD for me to watch when I get home. I really wanna see how the Y Wing swarm works

Ever had a paper cut? Now imagine them all over your body. And then you have your head smashed in by a sledgehammer while you were distracted. That's what it was like to watch.

Double post, sorry

But that isnt why the list works! Alone, they would be manageable!

Its a hammer and anvil list. The mc30 shepherd the enemy into the ywings with no path of escape. Dual threat list with no wastage.

This. I've seen plenty of Y-wing spam lists, and without a second credible threat they get picked apart rather quickly as you can just fly around the carrier and force them to split the squadron force, limiting the bombers effectiveness

I think you have to eliminate the Intel quickly (not exactly easy to do) and try to punch Admonition in the mouth while you've got the Y-Wings tied down. Which is damned hard to do. And virtually impossible with JJ at the helm.

With the two bulky escorting YTs that might take longer than the Y-Wings need to take your ship apart - when Snipe arrives, however...

I love that neither of the two final lists are "just take this and win!" lists. Both were much more the player than the list, which is exactly where I want to see the game.

Anyone have the list in question? As I've been thinking in a 10/11 Y-wing spam fleet.

Very much this.

I played vs. an earlier iteration that had 2xAF+TRC90, and it lacked the ability for force engagement. Don't get me wrong, it was still a tough matchup, but this is way better.

**** cool to see an idea like Y-wing spam get honed into a weapon that can win Worlds.

Great work JJ.

Congrats Jj where did you get your tokens from??

You are all spot on about why my list is what it is. I needed a heavy-hitter, especially if I'm given first player. YT-1300s are amazballs with Toryn! Thanks for all the kind words as wel! You all kept me going!

I got my defense tokens and sheild dials from recreator studios. My ship trays are from

Dras. I highly recommend both! I still want to spray my trays black though.

Interesting, while the Rhymer Ball may have more punch it seems that Imperials lack the escorts needed to get it into effective range. Where as the Rebels have great escorts in the form of HWKS (Intel keeps them from being tied up) YT-1300 (Escort+Counter) and even more so once Biggs gets on the table.

As an Imperial player, don't remind me. To the best of our knowledge, we only get Saber Squadron for Snipe to boot, though we can hit and fade with the new Phantoms

Does anyone have the timestamp? I've been away for a while and I'd like to watch the games!

Congrats JJ and all the competitors, great tournament. Also the team event was awesome and I highly recommend it to everyone that comes to worlds. Nice job to Skyshuffler and the Battle Droid in our first game- that was way fun. Also congrats to our 2nd opponents in one of the craziest games of Armada I've ever played- after 3 hours of play with 1200 total points on the table, we each managed to score exactly 77 points! Kudos to the FFG staff who gave both teams the prizes- they did the right thing on that one even though they didn't have to.

Congrats JJ!

Also, congrats to C-Ninja and (I forgot your name, partner of C, I'm so sorry! I was too fried.) These guys offered me and tgall one hell of a tough second round fight, and they well-deserved their win. I don't recall the names of who we played round one, but they made our victory hard fought.

Very fun set of days!

Does someone have a link for the ship card trays I saw on a few tables? JJ has them at the end too.

JJsJuggernaut has trays from Imperial Phoenix Hobby Works.

They are available from Skycake at Worlds at the moment, but the business owner will have to inventory stock when he gets back before accepting any Postal Orders...

...

That felt weird to type :D

That was me, I didn't even think to tell you my forum tag. That was a great game, 4 point MoV before Intel Sweep is really close with 7 dead ships and 7 dead squadrons.
