WORLDS UPDATE THREAD
There was no streaming yesterday. They start streaming today at 3:30 central I believe.
Oh, plenty of games were streamed. Just not X-wing.
You know...for the four people that even know what netrunner is much less really feel a need to watch hours of two people staring at cards.
Not exactly TV material without something actually visual to see.
Round 3 pairings have D. Howard v Nathan Eide. I would have liked to watch that one.

Duncan just commented on Gold Squadron Facebook that he won 100-16 (I think I remember that score right).
So much for a stream at 3:30p
And we wait...

Still 45 mins til then?

Just for the record: Netrunner is an amazing game, probably the best TCG/LCG ever designed (by Richard Garfield, obv) with some truly unique asymmetric play mechanics.
It may not be as popular as X-Wing but it's brilliant in its own right.

Ah. Guess I should think outside my time zone.

Everything I've heard supports this! But I'm not sure how watchable it is for the uninformed.

Well, similarly, I can't say I see anything about Xwing that would be exciting to watch if you didn't know how the game worked either. So, they are in similar boats.
But, both games are quality products from FFG, and I believe their two most popular products. So it's good they both got streaming time.

I had a guy over the other day who puts on pro esports events. I happened to be watching X-Wing when he arrived. Dude had never seen it, had never heard of the game, but was utterly entranced by it.
He was able to follow the action because the commentary was on point, and a lot of the game state is represented by the minis.
Great game between Fernando and Jeff! Considering the spaniard lost a defender at the first serious round of shooting, I was amazed how close the game was.
Jeff's list is fantastic thought

With X-wing at the very least it's pretty straightforward that ships are trying to shoot each other, even if the minutia would escape more casual viewers.
Even for people who've picked up and played some games with the core set, Worlds level Netrunner is going to look like a totally different game in some ways. If you don't even know the basics it's going to be completely indecipherable, true. That said, as for 'only 4' people, I'm not sure now with GoT 2.0, but Netrunner is usually the second largest tournament at these events. At GenCon this year I think they were actually pretty close(I'm not sure exactly how many there were in flight 1 Thursday(even though its' the one I played in) but X-wing day 2 had less than 100 players, with something like 120ish day 1. Netrunner had just over 200).
tl;dr Barring GoT rocking the boat, Netrunner is their biggest LCG and second biggest 'lifestyle/hobby' game.
That said, I don't know why there's not been more X-wing on stream.
Unrelated, is there a list of, well, lists out there somewhere? I've been at a Netrunner event all day and only just got home to catch X-wing streaming...
