Kamikaze Scum

By Festilence, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Been looking for a Scum list for a while now and finally thought about this speedy and, hopefully, shooty list.

Thoughts?

100 points Pilots

------

Black Sun Ace (26) x 2 Kihraxz Fighter (23), Crack Shot (1), Glitterstim (2)

Concord Dawn Veteran (24) x 2 Protectorate Starfighter (22), Fearlessness (1), Concord Dawn Protector (1)

I like it. I've always loved that build for a Kihraxz and wished you could fit 4 in a list. Replacing two of them with Protectorate Fighters seems like a good move. If you can get range-1 on a large-base ship, it will be hurting for sure!

Let us know how this goes! Been flying 5x Cartels for a few weeks now and the Khiraxzs is a great ship, even better when paired with the CDV as wingmen.

I lost today with the list and felt like the two main reasons were immobility and poor navigation skills from my end.

Went against a tripple defenders list with crackshot and managed to take down 1 1/2 ships before concedeing with 2 ships left at 1 hp each.

Planning on changing glimmerstim for vectored thrusters and see how it goes.

Black Sun Ace [Crack Shot, Vectored Thrusters] (26) x 2

Concord Dawn Veteran [Fearlessness, Concord Dawn Protector] (24) x 2

Ouch. i agree that x7 defenders are tough. I haven't quite cracked them yet. I suppose I'm not surprised the list didn't do as well, but it is disappointing.

I'm not surprised at all. The khiraxz is not a very competitive ship. Its too expensive for what you get by at least 2 or 3 points (same as the T-65 x-wing, but that ship has lots of good unique pilots).

Anyway, my suggestion would be to run 4 Fang Fighters. Its a much better ship.

This is how I'd run it:

Zealous Recruit w/ title = 21

3 x Dawn vets w/ attani mindlink, title & thrusters = 26 x 3

99

Unlike Fenn Rau (who can use his high PS to get into range 1 of his prey easily), these PS 3 ships won't always be able to predict where R1 of an enemy will be. So you run the Recruit as a blocker and that 'sticks' your prey in place for your other ships to pounce on. You don't have to fly them super close in formation though, but practicing will help to figure out the best way to approach different enemies.

If you don't have mindlink or don't like it you can always replace it with crackshot. I do not recommend Fearlessness though. Its really not a good card on these guys, despite it being in the same box...

You could try:

BSA, Crackshot, Glitterstim, Vectored Thrusters x2

TPV, Heavy Scyk, Ion cannon x2

Less damage output, but control (even ioning large base, if both TPVs hit). And everyone moving at PS 5,with very similar dial and BR for all.

Based on the title, I was expecting a bunch of Z-95s with Deadman Switch.
