Do familars that are treated as hero figures have a corresponding archetype (e.g. Brightblaze=mage)? This would imply that they trigger Basic II archetype specials?
Familiar archetype?
Im going to have to say no on this. This is definetly worth being a topic of debate.
And so, my argument is that familiars have no archetype. The only archetypal icon on the card, if any, is on the back. And looking through the rulebooks for all of 5 minutes trying to find something has resulted in: Archetypes are the symbol on the hero sheet, and the color of the background in the portrait. Monsters and Leiutenants have no archetypes, even though charectristically, they kinda do.
(Also, for Basic II, those bonuses only trigger on proper, full blooded heroes. To quote "When the card is played on a hero that matches the listed archetype,..." . It makes me think that those bonus triggers only occur against proper heroes.)
They do not have archetypes. Heroes have archetypes, and familiars aren't heroes.
Edited by ZaltyreSame as Zaltyre. and the simple reason is that they do not have a crest as heroes as.
In the same way, Servant don't have monster trait too.
Thanks for clarifying!
