Page 9 of the Gamemaster's Kit mentions there are ideas for Warp Encounters and a Random Events table in the main rulebook, under the chapter headed for the Gamemaster, but I could find no evidence of either. Is this something that had to be cut and might appear as errata or a supplement? Or was it moved and I just couldn't find it in my less than deft flip through of the rules?

Under navigators, pg 186. "warp travel encounters", I would also use the psychic phenomena and perils of the wrp tables for some ideas (pg 160-161)

The RAW is not providing more and/or "extended charts", just the generic/basic events in the table the OP already mentioned.

I try/tried to generate a "pool" for small (half evening max.) Warp Travel Events [ http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_foros_discusion.asp?efid=159&efcid=3&efidt=249716], a short of "exchange" for GM´s in need of said encounters. Their have not been alot of contributions, so.
