My brobots template crosses a debris...then ends ON the same debris.
Is it two stress and two rolls?

Nope
Thank-you captain.
We return to our regularly scheduled foruming.
If it's literally the same piece of debris, then no.
If your template crossed one piece of debris, and your ship landed on a different piece, then yes, you would suffer the 'debris' effects twice.
The thing being counted is the number of unique obstacles you interact with, not the number of times you interest with obstacles.
As in literally literally, not figuratively literally, then what xanderf says is truth.
Interesting...
I have always been under the impression that if you "ran over" one asteroid but landed on another you'd only be subject to one asteroid effect. Debris would be the same although interactions got complicated if you ran over one but landed on the other obstacle type.
Nope. Each obstacle has an effect (roll for damage, stress, etc). However, you are only "obstructed" once, meaning you can't be triple obstructed if somehow behind 3 obstacles (1 asteroid, one debris field, and one large ship with the seldom used mod that lets large ships obstruct attacks). You are merely "obstructed", for +1 green die.
Worth noting at one point you did only take the effect of 1 obstacle you ran through. They since have changed the faq to be every obstacle.

True.

Is this Alex Davies or Paul Heaver?

In the original rules, all obstacles had the same rules. Since Outrider came out, there's the possibility of hitting one rock and one piece of debris, with two different effects.

That's probably the one I'm remembering.
You only roll dice/suffer effects once after your maneuver and for each time a game effect causes a template-overlap or a ship to land on the obstacle... like tractor beams.
I hate obstacles by the way. I wish we could roll dice for rocks/debris...with a chance of 0 to 6 evil-cardboard-thingys placed on the play-mat.

I prescribe a short course of Seismic Torpedoes.
Yeah, I don't know .I was playing with a new fella and I did a big ole 3 bank...so template passes over a debris but the end of the maneuver also landed the very corner on top of the same debris.
He sais " now what?"
And I go " well in this case...er...uhm...huh. I'm actually not sure. Lets look it up." Google wasn't helping with the specifics and I knew y'all would see my 911 calhere before the regular rules subgroup.
Thanks again for the fast help!
In any case you should only need to worry about a single obstacle once.
