Consider that the fleet over Scarif isn't the only Rebel Fleet...there could be more.

There are many rebel cells. We know of 2 from rebels tv show. Phoenix and the cell on Yavin. It's mentioned that the ywings captured in one episode were going to that cell.

So you are correct and your assumption is actually canonical.

I've allways got the impression that those separate Rebel Cells were a pre rebel alliance thing. The Alliance is the unified organisation they formed not so long before Rogue One. Nevertheless we can assume that they have multiple naval assets on many places scaterred across the galaxy on different assignments.

That would fit with another source (Rogue One: Secret Mission , aimed at younger ages) which characterizes Mon Cal cruisers as forming the backbone of many Rebel task forces.

I would love to see a dorean gunship deployable in two ways(which would then be the card variants): One version should be a combat (not support) flottila and the other should probably called escort and work similar to supported elements in Halo Fleet Battles. On setup a single one would be assigned to another ship, the Base of which it would share. They would be activated and moved together but the escort would offer some solid buff for the escorted.

Rebel: Hammerhead Corvette. Correllian Corvette stats with a brace instead of a redirect. Gain a Team slot. Solid blue and mixed blue/black option for dice.
Sledge Title- when you collide with another ship roll a blue die. On any roll of a hit the other ship receives a second face down damage card.
Insolence Title- when you collide with another ship reduce its speed by 1 to a minimum of 1.

Legends of the Civil War expansion with 2-3 new titles for all previous ships from both factions, and unique squadrons for both factions.

You're right, ISD. The original Quasar-Fire from Truce at Bakara was indeed very lightly armed. Just light turbolasers and tractor beams if i remember right. Alas i don't think i've seen anything official on the firepower of the "new" Imperial Quasar-Fire.

The Quasar in Rebels must only have light offensive capabilities since an Arquitens managed to pose a threat to one with very little retaliation. The fact the Ghost crew had to jerry rig a tie bomber full of explosives to properly fight back is perhaps evidence of this. I think the Quasar is a lightly armed, moderately armored vessel that relies predominately on its fighter complement which it appears to have space for a lot.

My thoughts, exactly. It does *have* weapons on it (it shot down the TIE Bombers attacking it, after all) - but very few, and seemed like anti-fighter only.

Random bit of trivia: the 'gun turrets' it had beside the bridge were actually the same 3d model as the 'prototype B-Wing cockpit'.

Like, take the 'Pelta' Command Ship as a starting point...

• Delete all anti-ship capabilities and move one shield in the front to the back (if you insist on anti-ship capabilities...I could see something like the Gozanti's armament as a possibility)
• Anti-squadron armament should be one blue + one black
• Replace the 'Fleet Command' and 'Support Team' with a single 'Weapons Team' ( make sure to ship it with a copy of 'Ruthless Strategist'! )
• 2-command, 4-squad, 3-engineering
• Hull, speed/maneuver options and defense tokens of the Pelta are...probably fine?

I'm thinking you're at 2/3 the cost of the Pelta Command Ship, there.

Eh, the fluff description is that its an orbital base used to cover worlds with air support and provide shelter, refit and repair.

I cant see it being an orbital fortress without atleast some weaponry. The Truce at Bukura version had a pair of dual turbolaser turrets, which is the same primary firepower as a corvette/blockade runner.

#1) This is the 'canon' version, not the EU version

#2) What does the Empire need with another 80-90 pt carrier that can also fight capital ships? We've already got that, in the Victory-class. What we'd LIKE is a cheap carrier, like the Rebels have with the Pelta. (Ideally, cheaper, because 'swarms of crappy fighters' are sort of the Empire's thing ) And that fits nicely with the canon version of the Imperial Light Carrier.

For the Quasar Fire i would love to see one flipside being the imperial light carrier and the other the rebel base carrier refit, probably with 2 offensive retrofit icons on the imp, one which changes to a fleet support for the reb. Maybe it should offer a repair bay card which offers the abillity to heal nearby squadrons.

Basically this would (together with another rebel ship next wave) allow to keep the releases for the imperials up and still grant the rebels more diversity(as it should be)

If theres going to be a virtually weaponless option its going to be hard pressed to be cheaper than a pair of Gozanti flotillas, beat out the benefits of their support slots AND two activations. Sure, theres strength in activating alot of fighters at once, but its not everything.

And 3-4 dice out the front is hardly impressive, compare and contrast with the Interdictor.

You're really selling the "strength in activating a lot of fighters at once" short for the Empire . If you fly an Imperial swarm, so many of your fighters have...well... swarm ...and to work best (to be read as: 'to work at all offensively') that REALLY needs to get a lot of fighters in action at once.

Not to mention, the Gozers have no 'weapons teams' slot - I tend to think that would be pretty important for a proper carrier, given not just 'Ruthless Strategist' (which totally does need another release SKU), but also 'Flight Controllers'. TIE Fighters do so love Flight Controllers!

Combat Quasar. Two blue dice each for the front and sides and one blue on the rear. Three shields on the front and two on the sides and rear. It would have a squadron value of three with a slot to upgrade hanger bays to four. Two antifighter dice.

Light Carrier Quasar. One blue and black die for front. One blue die for broadsides and rear. Three shields on front and two for the sides and rear. It would have a four squadron value with a slot to upgrade to five. One anti fighter die.

This is why I half-expect it to be Rebel , and not Imperial.

Maybe but then there's the Pelta...talking about old toys. Not to mention the Rebel Quasar is painted differently to the Imperial standard.

This isnt directed at you but the idea of a rebel Quasar, it would be sorely disappointing if such a cool Imperial vessel was given to the rebels because one out of a production line of thousands was hijacked by them.

Hahah that would explain the Chimaera having the design on the bottom. Grand Admiral Thrawn probably didnt have to wade through that nonsense.

There's a funny side plot for an Imperial Officer in Rebels. Back water captain of an Arquiten's in the Outer Rim tries to requisition a paint job for years. Finally after sailing an ocean of paperwork gets the go ahead and commissions an artist to have this immaculate masterpiece painted on. A day later the ship is immediately blown up by the Ghost Crew.

My prediction is going to remain for all eternity:
Wave X+1:
Ton-Falk Escort Carrier for Imperials,
Flurry Expansion for rebels
Wave X+2(if it is not a four item wave)
Nebulon-b/2 Frigate for Imperials, (maybe even rebels!)
