Resurgent class- extra large base. Same scale to an ISD as what an ISD is to a Victory.
Just no love for the resurgent class anywhere!

I'd take a resurgent in a heartbeat.
I'd love to see an accurately scaled Resurgent class in Armada
I'd like a resurgent but I think that would have to come with a wave of New-Trilogy stuff.
I agree. I think they will wait untill we see some new republic/resistance capitol ships to release the resurgent class so they can have some balance. Hopefully during episode 8 we Will see some light side capitol ships.

I'd love to see even an inaccurately scaled resurgent class in Armada, to be honest
All the ships in armada are relitive scaled so the resurgent class and exicuter classes will also be relative scale. Unless you want a super star destroyer that doesn't fit on a normal sized table or takes up half the room. The resurgent may be the same scale as the ISD and other large ships but not the the medium small or others at least.
Edited by Rune TaqI'd like a title card
Captured Ship (unique)
You may equip this to a different factions ship that is medium or smaller and use it in your fleet. After deployment...(bad effect here)
Something like, reduce your hull by one, discard a defense token.
Seems like a Rebel tactic. Maybe it'd be a Rebel-only upgrade, and FFG would write "a different faction" for simplicity rather than "an Imperial" and accidentally throw endless fuel on the Scum debate.
Cards like those give me rules-conniptions...
I mean, I see the intent of the card, for sure. I even occasionally enjoy the intent of the card... But getting the card to work , rules wise, is almost impossible in that format.
When fleet building, you need to have a Ship, to attach an upgrade to it.
You cannot include a Ship from the other faction, while fleet building.
So you can't take the Ship, to take the upgrade, to let you have teh Ship...
Chicken / Egg deal.
It will work if the Upgrade is not attached to the Ship itself - but instead exists on its own in the rest of your Fleet
Say, as an Admiral effect (May include 1 cross-faction Small or Medium Ship. You may attach upgrades from your faction to it, respecting upgrade slots)
Fair enough, regarding captured ship. (The counter-cost of losing a defense token seems quite clever in how it mirrors the rules for scarring a ship in the Corellian Conflict. I'm a sucker for the implied story that tells.) I wouldn't want to know what that would do to the workload of the people making online fleet builders. Speaking of messing with fleet building...
New commander for wave 6 prediction: Director Krennic. Each of your ships may add one Defensive Retrofit, Offensive Retrofit, or Turbolaser upgrade slot that it did not already have. (26 points)
As a weapons developer, he creates new advancements in military tech, allowing ships to exceed their potential under less creative leaders. Turbolasers seem to fit his fondness for high-energy weapons, and I think allowing any of the weapons slots (Turbolaser, Ion, Ordnance) would throw the door too wide-open to be balanced.
Has anyone even considered that they might do Tarkin's personal ship? The Carrion Spike. You could also bring in a Venerator class Star Destroyer on a medium base. I want more medium Imperial ships T_T
Had to look up Carrion Spike. Overall, I say yes. A 3-4 hull, speed 4 ship. Black and red armament. Would need to find a way to make it different from the Raider. Maybe a title that combines Montifierret (sp?) and Bright Hope, but only at speed 4. Have it unable to go speed 1 or something.

No more squadron packs. No more squadron packs. No more squadron packs. No more squadron packs. No more squadron packs.
Too many little fighter ships to still paint........
based on the Canon length of the Venator it would be a large base ship. Both mc80s are 1200m which is the same length as a VenatorHas anyone even considered that they might do Tarkin's personal ship? But the venator is also only a little bit bigger than the victory star destroy. So it's like, take your pick.

In the Tarkin novel, the main thing that made the Carrion Spike unique was that it had a cloaking device. I'm not sure if that should be part of a title, or some type of upgrade. Maybe cloaking could be a new experimental retrofit?

It couldn't be, because if you just assign it to the Experimental Retrofit slot, all kinds of nonsense would ensue. The Carrion Spike then equips Targeting Scramblers or G-8 Projectors. The Interdictor suddenly equips a Cloaking Device.
I believe I ranted about the inadequacy of the Experimental Retrofit upgrade name back in wave 4. It's not a retrofit (the Interdictor was designed for this exact purpose), it's barely experimental (it totally works for practical combat applications), and the name does not at all indicate that this is always for gravity well technology. There's design space in the game for actual retrofits that are actually experimental, but that's not what the upgrade does.

If the ship had a unique upgrade slot (like the Pelta) that allowed for the attachment of a cloaking device that made it so the ship couldn't be seen or targeted for 1 round a game that would be sick! You could add a couple other things to this slot that might be slight fleet boosts as well so that it is an imperial response to the Pelta essentially. Also it has always made me chuckle that the Imps always seem one step behind on the ship side.
Edited by MilieniusThe Carrion Spike - as a Unique - versus attempting to make a "Ship of the Line" Variant, would seem the Cloaking Device to be unique .
Which would make the "Cloaking" prime for the Title card. Its unique. It doesn't need to have the other things, and it doesn't need to give cloaking elsewhere.
Its perfectly suited to Title.
If its not mentioned elsewhere what the ship was, perhaps its not a big leap that a non-custom-version could be the 'Razor' class Frigate mentioned in Weapon of a Jedi ... That'd tie things together.

With spike in the name, I imagined it as a imperial variant of the cloaking ship from clone wars

That's exactly what it is.
But that doesn't mean there's a whole class of them out there with cloaking Devices... Even in the Clone Wars, it was outragously one-of-a-kind, fickle, and prone to malfunction...
Maybe have this as its title card ability.
You can perform a speed one menuver at the end of the ship phase and you cannot be attacked unless you attack.
Hense you are cloaked until you attack.

Personally i think that's too fast. The thing is designed to sneak up close while cloaked, uncloak and uncork a barrage at point blank range. Speed 4 and cloaking device don't really compute for me.
I'd like to see for the Empire a Quasar and an ISD I sculpt model release (and painted noticeably paler than the current ISD II model). For the Rebellion, the Rogue One MC75 and a Hammerhead vette. That's a wave right there. For the ISD I, the Chimera and all the other Rebels titles could be included.
And I agree... no more squadrons... ever... unless we get a Clone Wars dual faction release.
Edited by LobokaiI don't even know what they'd do for more squadrons. The existing ones cover pretty much every ship that I could recognize, and then some.
The only thing I want that would be that size at this point, would be U-Wings. I'm sure there's other nonsense to pull in from X-Wing, but man.
^The Scimitar Assault Bomber is pretty cool looking. The proper TIE advanced 'Avenger' is also missed.
