The efforts by the old customs group basically arrived here. We also had a final armament version that packed a ISD grade red/blue fore arc, and Gladiator grade side arcs, to give it a unique fighting style. The maneuver chart was a riff on what is now the Liberty, though even less agile. Speed 3 had no turn options, period. I'll see if I can find the card.

Edit: Found them.

I would throw jerry on that thing and run it for days.

I can tell you flat out that that card wont be how the Venator is....think of a Victory with the carrier ability minus the black dice.

Hanger 5 would be reasonable.

I'd imagine a command variant as well....where do you guys go and design cards at...I always wanted to throw my spin on this.

For the command cruiser Id say one red and blue die out the front because its a broadside ship. Also add a red die to the side and mabye try something new like giving the side arcs 4 sheilds, the front 2 and keep the rear at 1. Also perhaps a new anti squadron upgrade slot

The other class is just way to op

from what i can tell the first order was made from the most extreme of the empire, the natzi SS if you will, and are more focused will killing rather than maintaining or gaining an empire

Yes they are more intence. No stupid storm troopers that can't figure out how to aim a blaster. However, unless I'm mistaken, the first order still wants to bring order to the galaxy. I belive general hux says something to that affect in his speach before the destroy the new republic capital system.

The Venator had stronger shielding to make up for that dorsal flight deck.

In fact I'd make it 4/3/3/2 with a hull of 7.

I really want a venator now after all the posts about them. Speed three needs some yaw though. I say medium base. Same size as victory... But same size as mc 80s so who knows what the algorithm is. I like the idea of more even armaments on front and sides. 5 dice on sides 6 on front.

I'd be a mirror of the victory, just swap the black dice for a hull of 7 better shields, and a bigger squadron value

I really dont think the venator should be better then a victory in terms of firepower. Yes they were good but it goes against the idea of technology advancing from the Acclamators on upwards.

Since all of their firepower seems directed forward how about give the front arc three blue dice and two red dice? Sides are two black and one blue because Venators have been known to broadside. Rear is two black.

Also, not replying directly to the quote, but you asked in a different thread where people go to make the cards:

But I don't know how much Functionality FoaS has still going during his major upgrade.

Bear in mind, when that card was designed, it was part of a large GAR/CIS expansion, and that ship was intended to fill the role of the Imperial -class, end-all be-all battlewagon, for the GAR. It may be overpowered now, especially since it was designed long before we had even Wave 3, but having flown it myself in tests, it's less powerful than it seems. We gave it a narrow front arc, and with that maneuver chart, it proved very difficult to bring the broadside to bear against a ship that didn't want to take it. It's also relatively light on upgrades, which should not be written out either. If people would like to test it, they are more than welcome, feedback is always appreciated.

Makes sense, but yeah, that needs be hit with the -1 stick in many places.

So the firing arcs would be similar to the arquiten but perhaps it would have a slightly more narrow front ark.

The Arquitens' arcs are approximately what we gave the ship, for reference.

And reasonably so. The arqui was but an escort for venators. I'm a newcomer here but I've followed the forums since wave 2. Even had an account, just technical issues with posting a reply. Thank the force for revamps

Finally figured out the name of a ship I want for armada.

A Praetor Mark II-class battlecruiser.

Yeh the praetor could be cool. My absolute favourite capital would be the harrower-class imperial dreadnought but i doubt they would make it D:

That's a cool ship. That's from SWTOR right? If so yeah that's an unlikely ship for FFG to announce.

Whatcha guys think?

offensive stats look good... does it really need two refits though?

I would not give it both support and weapon teams.

I think it should either be faster or more manouverable than a victoty and 1 more black die on the front couldnt hurt. But otherwise looking good ?

i like all of the upgrades, i think it needs 5 for squads personally, and a bit more manouverability. However, I doubt that FFG would let a weapons and support team be on the same ship. If I had to pick one, I'd go weapons because flight controlers. other than that, great job. Your love for this ship gives me hope. the venator is the best ship in star wars and to see others who feel the same way is great

thought id give it a go aswell
