While I agree that Star Wars Rebels and Rogue One Trailers aren't really about the X-wing game, they are about Star Wars in general. If there is any place that we should be able to let our freak flag fly, it's in an X-wing game forum. I mean, the reason most of us are here is because we love the movies/tv shows, so why not discuss it here.

One could argue that what happens in the movies and tv shows does impact this game as the last few waves have been all about ships from the movies and tv shows.

The Cubs I give leniency only due to the fact that they haven't won in 108 years. I hate baseball and most sports in general, but I can forgive someone being excited that their favorite team has one the first championship game since their Great Great Grandfather was alive. I still wish it was in Off Topics, but forgive it.

Over at Board Game Geek, there was someone who complained about HotAC being put in the General forum. He didn't play it and only plays 100/6 and wanted it stuffed in the Variant sub forum with the tin foil hat wearers. OK...those guys aren't that bad, but that's kind of how I view that sub forum. I don't really want to see one of the coolest ways to play X-wing stuffed into a sub forum. So, I get that you don't want your post lost in some dusty sub forum that's haunted by 4 people. I will say, though, that I go through the Off Topic forum almost every day. There are those that go to the List Building sub forum quite often and in less than a day, your post could be pushed to the 2nd page. I will agree that there are more people asking for comments on their lists than actual giving comments. Still, you should get SOMETHING when you post there.

I tried something today.

At 8:23 Eastern I posted a question about if two squads were balanced. At the time I thought about this thread. So I posted it in X-Wing Squad Lists. So far it has been pushed to 8th which isn't that far really. But 45 views later no comments. So either my post is lame, the sub-forum gets significantly less traffic or perhaps a bit of both.

I can't help but think that if I posted in the in the main forum I would have already had at least a couple of answers.

I don't particularly care if we use the the Main Forum as a catch all. I can stick with that which makes it a bit easier for me or go to the sub-forum for something I can't find or more specific information.

Yeah, I like the main forum because it gets read more, so you can have longer conversations (although sometimes that's a disadvantage, because all the trolls use the main forum too). Also, I think the variety is actually kinda nice... I like having tons of random threads that aren't particularly related come up all in a huge jumble, although that probably drives a lot of folks absolutely bonkers.

I think if there were a "speculation/alternate rule suggestions" sub-forum, it would get used a lot... people really love proposing ideas for new cards that they think should show up in future, even though all the suggestions are some version of an S-Foils dual title card (I admit to being guilty of all of the above!)

The very first time I came to these boards, I did not even realize there was a main forum below the subforums, simply because I didn't scroll down.

And as Ken at Sunrise points out, I think there is considerably less foot traffic in the sub forums, so I personally do tend to ignore them.

I also wanted/suggested an Epic-only subforum at one point, but that got grumped at immediately as superfluous.

Totally irrelevant, completely off topic, nothing to do with the Star Wars universe, so deserving of the off topic thread, so please for the love of god stop posting and bumping this pointless argument back to the top of the forum...................ah crap

X wing worlds is on people and Heaver has lost a game now that is news, more then the Kittens, Puppies, Cubs or whatever
