Anyone seen him lately? Haven't seen him post in a while.
Lyraeus, where are you?
He has jumped ship to DROPFLEET COMMANDER. ![]()
I have seen him around. He had just been busy lately.

That is also my in-person observation.
He doesn't come to Armada Friday's anymore. Part of that is because he works later than he used to. When he did come out the other week, he brought his Dropfleet stuff, and didn't really engage.

Ded gaem? Ded gaem!
Aww. His was a unique voice in the community.
This Commander just Dropped his Fleet
Sorry, couldn't help it
Well its cool. Armada is just a game. End of the day we should be free to play whatever games we want. I find myself actually playing more casuals and parties than armada simply because my groups like those.

Yes.
One that was routinely stomped on, shouted at, belittled and roughhoused.
Add to that some of his local players singling him out to never play against, or attend events that he did....
He basically went looking for another community, and found one to build anew.
So what you're saying is, we now have to do this the next time we see him:

That depends.
Do you ever want to see him again?

Woah woah woah. Let's not forget the fact that he had a pretty big attitude problem himself. He was frequently condescending in the extreme. I looked passed it because of his clear enthusiasm for the game and his disability, but if you don't know and/or aren't used to asperger's syndrome, it can be extremely off putting. I'm very sad to hear he's moved to another game, but let's not make him into a martyr.

Yes, actually. Despite his flaws he was a positive impact on the community. I don't think there is anyone more willing to experiment with crazy right field combinations.

No, I get that too.
But the side of it that I am on, the Truthiness of it, as it is (
) - is that I spent many, many, many many hours going over with him, trying to help him out - and watching him make distinct efforts, and have those efforts thrown back in his face - and consequently, mine.
Was it my time to give? Yes, yes it was. I gave it. I sincerely tried to help.
So yes, I do feel a measure of involvement, and I do feel a measure of failure that he ultimately decided to move on, because I was watching his strong efforts be chastised and laughed at.
So the situation is a very mixed bag with me.
I am the same as Dras, I spent a lot of time working through it with him. He was getting loads better and yet many refused to update their opinions.
And lets be extremelly honest here, he is/was not a unique case.
What can ya do, people drop in, people drop out.
I hope to see him back.
I'm not sure how I have gone so long with no mention of Dodonna the Oppressor or the Vader Duet.
But for reals, Ly, we have cookies. And glorious wave 5 soon.
I liked, and miss, the crazy bastard. I hope he comes back to us.
Just adding that I too miss Lyr and was very happy to know that others were working with him. I know he wants to make things a good experience for others even if that doesn't always come through.
Good guy.

And that's a damned shame. On the balance, he really was good to have around.
Thanks for the info. I do miss him and h8s posts, and his youtube videos. I hope he returns.
Agreed. I hope he returns. Sometimes it is the most socially awkward members of a game community that add the most to that community. I have seen it before in other games, and Lyraeus was just such a person for this community. He is missed.
Quick Dras, use your "forum skills" to get this thread to as long as the Article Predictions thread. Surely if we get to 100 pages, he'll have to come back.

"......YOU REQUIRE MORE VESPENE GAS."
Target has been spotted on Hawk Forums. So yea he is playing another game. The darn traitor. (Don't harass him XD)
We could make a thread there and link this thread in it. And make 2 100 page discussion on both sites in order to bring him back.
I'm doing it.
*Edit*
Stupid forum requires an admin to approve my account. I WANT TO SPAM HIM NOAW!
