Conjurer Image Question

By player1555354, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Quick question for the gurus:

Channeling: "You may spend 1 movement point during your turn to move an image token 1 space."

If a conjurer uses a movement point to move an image, and the overlord uses tripwire on the image, does the conjurer lose all of his movement points?

The way I understand this is that the image doesn't actually have any movement points, the conjurer is just moving him as a skill. The tripwire applies to the image, which doesn't have anything, so it's ineffective. Does this sound about right?

You cant use Tripwire on an image token anyways. You have to use tripwire on a hero in a move action. This isnt a move action. However, Web Trap and Pit Trap are effective (they are usuable) against image tokens

ChanceRiley's got it. The image is not performing a move action, so tripwire isn't really valid. In general, though, the image and the conjurer are separate things, so transfer of effects like you're thinking doesn't happen.

Damage or fatigue inflicted on the image is not transferred to the conjurer (beyond the 1 damage/1 fatigue penalty when it suffers something). Conditions given to the image are not given to the conjurer (and most conditions do nothing to it anyway).

Remember that images don't really DO anything (besides defend, and move when the conjurer makes it). In almost every case, the conjurer is doing something using the image for range.

That's what I thought. Thanks!

Yes to both.

Yes to both.

The reason for this is that the skill does not exhaust. Therefore it can be used multiple times.

I would like to ask a related question:

When a conjurer creates puts an image token on the board using "mirror image", is the token considered to be entering the space it is put into?

We had the situation that the space was adjacent to an demon lord master, so aura would have been triggered and the image token would have suffered immediately one damage upon "entering that space".

If a figure is being placed from off the map , it is not entering
a space. This includes heroes being revived or standing up,
reinforcing monsters, summoning familiars, etc.

Short answer : No
