Team epic at worlds.

By Hujoe Bigs, in X-Wing

Hey everyone, kinda just throwing this out there. I wouldn't mind hitting up the team event, except one snag, no partner. So if you are still looking for (Yes super late notice) a partner, I'm down. I'm planning on bringing 200 point of Imperial, and sadly I won't be able to bring more due to flying in from Cali. Let me know if you are interested.

Good luck and free bump to your post. I'd partner up if I were going.

I am looking for a partner, since my original one is now not getting in until late on Thursday. I can bring 200 points of Imperials, but my current list has 4 uniques. Basically "Backdraft" & most of the TIE Bomber uniques. I should be getting to FFG HQ around 2-3 tomorrow afternoon.

I'm fine with that. I was planning on doing 4 bombers, ryad, Vessery, quick draw. If you are bringing bombers I can change it up. I won't be arrive in town till 11 pm today.

Are we going to have to get there very early to ensure a sign up spot? I want to play but if its going to be hard to get into or known that it will fill up fast then I'm not going to head to worlds until early Saturday.

Any info that can be provided would be appreciated!

Last year, there was plenty of extra space for more players/teams, and they let people sign-up without partners by faction to match you with someone else...I got paired with Chad from NovaSquadronRadio last year, we lost, but had tons of fun.

Good luck with your tournament; I hope Epic play picks up steam at the competitive level, I really find it interesting.

Bump the thread! let's find you a partner!

If you are still unsure what to play in Team Epic, I'll throw in a hint. Glaives (Ion Cannon, title, Ruthlessness) come at 40 points, so five of them make nice 200. For the other guy, copy, or take Jonus and Howlrunner (40 naked) instead of one Glaive. Change couple of Ions to Tractors to save some points to give the officers some protection (HU, Determination, PTL). Put in a tight formation, fly straights and 3-hards, focus and blast everything in front of you.

My friends won a three round team epic tournament with a list like that, they lost like a ship or two per game and tabled the opposition two out of three times (no mean feat in an epic game). We couldn't figure out anything to counter that.
