BREAKFAST SCHEDULE

By BiggsIRL, in Star Wars: Armada

On a related note, recomendations for dinner are very much welcome in this thread.

Assuming I don't make the Saturday cut, and I bet I won't, the place with the best in-house brewed beers.

Nearish to FFG is Brasa but they don't brew. Their open secret is a fantastic family style dinner menu that with a shocking flavor/cost ratio.

For food and beer it'll depend on your location on the beer/food scale. I would recommend Surly Brewing for those on the beer-end and perhaps Town Hall or Republic if you're more centrist on the scale. There's also dozens of breweries with tasting rooms but the food options will be random as you never know what food truck will be parked up front (I've been to and can recommend all of the following): Bauhaus, Fulton, Bang, Sociable Cider Werks, Indeed, Dangerous Man, Summit.

If you're okay without brewed-on-location eateries I would recommend the Blue Door Pub (the original location, not the new U of M spot) for having burgers and sides you wont ever forget. I also love Grumpys (think 50's diner meets heavy metal).

Truthfully, it's kind of hard to go wrong. We have a long winter here so you have to have nice amenities to offset the desire to move elsewhere.

Nearly forgot: the weather will still be warm (by our standards) so Psycho Suzi's will be a great spot. They've got a great patio, so-so food, and the best tiki-bar vibe in the midwest (there's a place in Chicago I would rate higher... but I'm not sharing that gem with anyone).

Surly sounds great, but it's 1 h 37 min walking distance away from the FFG center. Drive us, and I'll buy you some beers! :P

Safety first, gotta have a DD - that's why a cab is the happier alternative. 10 minute drive from FFGC or less.

I'm in!!

So jelly right now...

A midwestern tiki bar sounds great! Scorpion bowl here I come!

See you all in 20 min at Baker's square!

Surly is the real deal, but I have a friend who is a sous chef there, and he told me the wait is off-the wall crazy every Friday and Satruday evening. 1-2 hours long wait.

There is Pizza Lucé right there in Roseville. Some of the best pizza in the Twin Cities. A little spendy, but worth it when you want to treat yourself. They probably deliver to any of the hotels in the area.

And depending on your event schedule, get some brunch on Sunday. There are about 800 places to get good brunch around here.

Dammich, I think Im going to miss fast 1. Im on airport shuttle to my hotel right now. Eta, ... 19 mins? I did eat before my ight, about 3 hrs ago.

Is anyone running data collection up there? I'm not there, but I am curious to see what all shows up

Alright Biggs, where's my play by play of your game. I'm in meetings all day. I needs the outlet for my building annoyance.

Has any pair conceded to Ginkapo yet? See no reason why not

Hey fellas, Skycake and I might be a few minutes late to breakfast today as we still have to register, which doesn't open till 8. Save us some seats!

CaribbeanNinja, Quadro28, and I have a table for the group at Perkins in Roseville.

Has anyone noticed that i was never coming to worlds yet...?

On my way fellas. I'll look out for you..

Gonna be fashionably late.

Can't make it, walk too far from my hotel. Have a hotcake for me!!

Not getting to go to these breakfasts is my greatest regret about not being able to make Worlds.

Seriously. I can play Armada anytime. Breakfast with Biggs? That's a rarity!

I think breakfast tomorrow should be a quick and close thing unlike Perkins this morning.

Burger King anyone?
