The amount of dread in my stomach over painting those Defenders is growing.
I best pump out the V-wing swarm now....or forever hold my peace on it.

Definitely going to be for sale at Worlds, if they are on the boat. It means they CAN have some air shipped for Wednesday.
I think CC is likely to be on sale there, however Wave 5 is not spoiled enough to start selling.

They can spoil the whole thing on Friday. They already spoiled several ships and cards.

Wave 5?
Not in the way they'd normally do said spoils...
As separate expansions, they're generally separate... Granted, we did get a very quick run of articles on Wave 4 because of the nature of its release with the competition...
So, its possible to do everything super quickly... But its not plausible in my opinion.
I just want an angry defender swarm....because tie defenders doe.
and dat light cruiser.....oh baby
Just a quick two-cents from me, but didn't this exact same situation happen with Wave 2 last year? Shipping was iffy it was going to make it before Christmas and then boom, end of November, first week of December.

No, different situation.
The difference being that the initial shipping estimation date for everything being shipped was September last year... But shipping delays during the fact (ie, the port explosion)... Pushed it back, and back, and back...
Eventually, it made its way - they shipped some, gave us Sullust as an interim... But the initial release was earlier in the year... MUCH earlier...
This time, there's no advance estimate, its just... Cutting it close.

See I totally forgot about that port explosion. Just proves that my two-cents were Pesos and not something of value like the Canadian Penny.
I will remain positive, 4-6 weeks will see them out in the wild in early December.
Thats the thing we're assuming theyre going on the boat right now.
Could happen but really never has... It's always 8-10 weeks after getting updated that thing show up in the store. There has been one case of it happening sooner, that was the GR-75 for X-Wing.
Two week sail time. A week to clear customs leave the yard. Another week to reach stores. I say it be hear by black friday or the week after.
Provide the customs officer isnt a trekie and sends it back
If the boat is as slow as it usually is, be afraid. Be VERY afraid...

That's not usually the timeline is the thing.
It usually takes 6 - 8 weeks without any shipping delays for the product to cross the sea and get to the FFG warehouse.
Once at the warehouse, it is then shipped to stores, which typically takes 2 weeks. I've never heard of it taking less than 2 weeks from that point.
Dras did all of this math several weeks ago over in the articles prediction thread.
Basically, with an October 31 on the boat date, if it's going to get to stores by Christmas, they're really gonna have to grease some wheels.
Edited by EggzavierThe Armada sailing shipments have pretty much been epicly slow, bordering on ridiculous, for every wave. I'm not holding my breathe for these to arrive before week 3 of December, and even then I think that's slim.
Wasn't wave 4 only on the boat for a few weeks and ended up being released the same day as wave 3? It seemed to go from on the boat to in stores in matter of just a few weeks.
Yes wave 3 was on the boat longer than 4 and for was shorter than normal and they arrived in stores together.
But that's just evidence that wave 3 and 4 were meant to be one wave, not two separate releases.
It wouldn't surprise me in the least if someone at FFG misread a spread sheet and didn't update the release schedule two weeks ago like they were suppose to.

Coincidence is not fact.
If that was the case they'd do well by their customers to mention that.
When they say "On The Boat" that includes time in port, waiting at customs, being delivered to the distributors etc.
The time spent actually on a physical boat is no more then 2-3 weeks at most to the USA from China. Traveling to the UK isn't much longer, and naturally to Australia should be much faster. What causes delays is typically the other issues, unless it makes its way onto one of those shipping lines that goes bankrupt mid-voyage (possibly a contributor to the Wave 3 delay).
It seems Armada waves come around just in time to suffer from a host of international shipping woes from port strikes, port explosions, and shipping company bankruptcies(overestimating this one maybe). Can we get just two straight waves of no international shipping strife.
...
But...
But that...
That just wouldn't...
Y;know...
Be Armada.....
OR,...
It's all meaningless and the 'in development', 'at the printer', 'on the boat', and 'shipping now' are wholesale abstractions that have nothing to do with the actual logistics of them moving product from idea to factory to market. They are timed and changed only in order to manage our expectations.

What do you mean? Armada is about ships pew pewing each other. When each new wave arrives surely ships and a few ports are bound to explode.
More like intergalactic shipping strife

Well, the general status on the shipping market is actually quite stable at the moment after the Hanjin debacle.
