Liking those x-wings a whole lot. Maybe I should do some up in gunmetal (and hone my x-wing game, mine are all 'good' but a bit sloppy, mostly as I didn't clean up those abominations of mold lines)
Shadow Squadron shipyards
$7.50 a large pot of Agrax...
I pay $12 + Tax here.
I like the Falcon, its got some nice contrasts going on it... The Keyan is well executed, but I feel the picture is letting it down a little - showing it a little muddy... But otherwise great work

Got the second B Wing for it partially completed. It's getting the tan and grey scheme of the X Wing Miniatures B Wing shown in the photograph. I do agree that isn't the best photograph for the ace B Wing though. When I complete the set I'll try to get a better one.
Now let's get these on the table, bro!
Got two of my four B Wing squadrons done up and started work on my Wedge Antilles squadron. The squadron with the B Wing prototype (seen in Star Wars Rebels) is going to be my go to for Ten Numb once Corellian Conflict is available, and the markings for Wedge come from the really nice high res model found in the Galaxy of Heroes mobile game. Still have to paint up the other two X Wings for it.
It's been some time since I painted anything, but I've got my drive back. Got two Arquitens that I'm priming as I type this, so I should have some new content soon! Including a full lineup of what I intend to start Corellian Conflict with.
Love the red accents mate!
Love the red accents mate!
Thank you! I like using them as a way to differentiate between each copy of a ship. The only one that won't have that kind of accenting will likely be my second ISD, as the hull has no symmetrical paneling with which to use.
I know its kind of not my place, but I think I'd prefer to see that accenting more, rather than less....
Like, don't have one that's just plain... Have a Dark Red, a Dark Blue... A Really dark Orange/Yellow, basically bordering on Ochre or something like that... Keep them fairly subtle and lined as you have - but don't have a blank one...
Even if the colours are representing models and numbers... First is Red, then Orange, then Blue, sort of thing.....
Black to me, is just one of those colours that can either go great or go horrid - and you've certainly managed it so far - but I think with an assembled fleet, I'd prefer to see the odd Spot colour here and there rather than just a Sea of Black....
Keep it really subtle, really dark, like you have... But use it.
But that's personal opinion.
I've been impressed with everything so far.

Good job! Now let's get them on the table so I can smash them......lol!

You know my schedule!
Lead belcher is one of my favorite paints, both to look at and to work with. Looking good.

I was worried that the agrax would have a greener hue on the lead belcher. I'm quite happy with the fact it came out more of bronze or oxidized iron. I think the necron compound will really bring out something special with how many lovely surfaces there are to catch on the Liberty.

Well Dras, you poked the muse, and it has delivered. Revisited the three gladiators today, all got the same detail upgrades, with the all-black one no longer being all black.
The blue I used was altdorf guard blue, at the recommendation of a warhammer buddy of mine. I like how it came out on the gladiator. A big thank you for the suggestion!
And here's the finished version of the MC80 Liberty. I think I'm going to adapt this paint scheme to all of my Mon Cal ships (Home One, MC30s). Definitely want to come up with something else to use for my Pelta (though I may just touch up FFGs paint job), Corellian corvettes, and Nebulon frigates.
Some great looking ships there bud! Liberty turned out really nice. I like it when you experiment with a finish and it pays off.
