World of book already heavily hinted at.
That being said, some of the things coming down the pipe for the future have me very excited. I’m probably not allowed to talk about them here, but I imagine I’ll have a new favorite unit before too long!
Looks like more armies are already on the way. Hope to see elves soon - and, of course, in Battlelore!
Elves confirmed on back of a hero card. I'd expect Uthuk too.
So whens RunWars 40k coming out? RUN FOR COVER!!!!
Ya sabéis donde encontrar la entrevista en castellano

I never knew I wanted an undead dragon in this game till you said it... now all I can think of is how cool it would be to have a miniature of a bone dragon from heroes of might and magic 3.
Edited by TallTonyBAnyone else concerned that the distribution model of this game is clearly set up so that you only have to buy one faction's packs (i.e various upgrade cards etc are only found in 'your' faction's pack) which is of course a great move by FFG - but the problem is at the moment there's only 2 (or 3 if you count the elves) factions announced/releasing.
It's no good having a multi faction game, where the common consumer model will be to collect 1 faction, but not have all the factions releasing simultaneously.
I'd like to buy into the game, but what if I don't want Undead or Humans? Or if my 'favourite' factions only turns up when the game is 2 years old?
Exactly my concern.
But the argument against that is... Xwing only had two factions for a long time, and Armada is still going strong with just two factions.
Most other fantasy miniatures games, what you would consider the direct competitors, have 6 or more factions, there's something for everyone and it's a definite consideration for people looking to buy in. When you choose to play a mini game you're choosing a side.
Faction identity remains an important part of what will make RuneWars successful (on the level we know it can reach).
On the other hand I don't want them to rush out factions with powercreep/loop holes.
Maybe they've already designed the rules and model production will be the limiting factor. Much less likely and it would be an investment in the system - but an interesting concept; that they'll release rules for other factions before they release models. It's not like there's a shortage of fantast miniatures around...
Factions will be added as the game progresses. That is a given.

Sure - but my point is that, for those that are more interested in the other factions and/or want to see the whole scope of the game faction wise, before jumping in, it'd be cool to have each faction be released simultaneously.
But I get that that's pretty unworkable. At the minute you've got:
Humans:
- Spearman
- Calvary
- Hero
- Golem
- Infantry Command
- 2nd Hero
- Sorcerer
Undead:
- Skeletons
- Archers
- Lancer
- Hero
- Infantry Command
- 2nd Hero
- Sorcerer
So that's 16 packs (assuming that everything in the core set is also released separately) in Wave 1. And that's just two factions. That'd be a huge wave for FFG standards - but then again this sort of game is uncharted territory for them.
Would that be enough for variety, if waves 2 and 3 introduced say 4 more factions, and then they can go back and give more options to the older factions. probably.
