Pre-Quadjumper preview hype- What are you looking forward to most?

By Kdubb, in X-Wing

So today (almost certainly if the trend continues from the last two weeks) we will see the Quadjumper preview. We have a lot of things to look forward to in this one!

Will we hear all about the first reverse maneuver in the game? Will the 2nd half of "A Score to Settle" in the form of "A Debt to Pay" be spoiled? Will we hear about Paul Heaver's 3rd card design, which I strongly assume is BoShek?

Let's get excited!

I feel like FFG is just trolling now. They should get a warning point. They start feeding our addiction in a schedule then the minute we begin to expect it they take it away. They at minimum are clearly doing some sort of Pavlovian experiment with us.

I hope you're wrong, because that would make it only very slightly better than Greedo and probably worse than Adaptabilty (and Trickshot) most of the time.

So you're saying that a 0 point EPT only being slightly better than a 1 point crew is a problem? Giving the condition a reciprocal bonus to the EPT is a great idea. It's something that can't be done very easily without being a condition and keeps A Score to Settle from almost becoming an auto-include in every list that has an EPT slot that isn't used for something else. With no downside from the condition, A Score to Settle is better than many 1 and 2 point EPTs. With the downside there will be some ships that it makes sense to put it on and some that have no use for it. That seems like what you want from a 0 point EPT.

Good job, this thread jinxed it.

Also, FFG has never been real pleased with things like Vassal and OCTGN.

First off, fully apologize for posting this and jinxing it. I thought it was a sure thing, but obviously me posting this realigned the cosmos and everyone's day was ruined because of my poor decision.

Second, I have not seen much evidence that FFG has any issues with vassal. Considering that on their page dedicated to Paul Heaver they mention him winning a VASSAL tournament, as well as report on Paul using VASSAL as a training point, I'd say their issues are small if existent at all.

I think that M0un does a great job of limiting the information that is included in his Vassal module to avoid the wrath of FFG's legal department. At least in the version that I've used you need to know what all of the cards say in order to use it.

I remember them trying to get rid of the OCTGN portability in the deckbuilder that they bought, which they changed their mind on.

I assume it's a condition card because they wanted to have a condition card for each of the factions (even though it's not scum only, but it's in a scum box).

I mean, it's free. Agent Kallus has a similar effect and costs two points. Yes, there's going to be a downside to the 0-point Kallus.

Kallus works also on defence, making him much more potent on the right ship (Whisper, specifically). Having insurance against that one guy that fires before Whisper can cloak and get his focus (or allowing to save said focus for offence) is easily worth 2 points.

I'm most looking forward to a good, 20ish point scum option that can open up the pathway to more viable 4 ship scum builds.

I remain excited to understand why on earth A Debt To Pay isn't scum-only. ;)

They bought a deckbuilder? What's that?

Either its gonna be late or no preview. which is odd, usually they reveal the wave back to back.

Maybe the person who was supposed to write the article ate too many pumpkin pies and went home sick :(

Aww man, it's the Jumpmaster article all over again!

A new scum ace?

A new scum ace?

On the flying tic?

Might as well put fel on a hwk :P

Jumpy isnt ace material (honestly, ot just kinda sucks overall ito statline and action bar; it is a shite bomber missing a hull and TL)

We're here for shenanigans exclusively

Id honestly be flabbergasted to see it doing any work outside its unique tbeam thing, its pilot abilities and maybe its one bomb

A: The little tubular nugget itself - any useful upgrades will be a bonus on top.

One quarter portion

Well, Ackbar just got replaced by DOOM.

Quite fitting.

It's a trap, were DOOM'ed :)

Felt I needed to bump this so everyone can blame me when the preview doesn't happen tomorrow either.

;)

But seriously, HAS to be tomorrow, right?

Come ooooooon I need to know what Boshek does! :(

I am looking forward to the Unique non-faction crew card, and I hope it is good.
