Pre-Quadjumper preview hype- What are you looking forward to most?

By Kdubb, in X-Wing

So today (almost certainly if the trend continues from the last two weeks) we will see the Quadjumper preview. We have a lot of things to look forward to in this one!

Will we hear all about the first reverse maneuver in the game? Will the 2nd half of "A Score to Settle" in the form of "A Debt to Pay" be spoiled? Will we hear about Paul Heaver's 3rd card design, which I strongly assume is BoShek?

Let's get excited!

I wanna know the dial more than anything I think - it seems likely to be the most interesting part of the ship.

Beyond that, I want to know what the action tractor beam thing does, and what the illicit that looks like it might allow you to salvage upgrades from destroyed ships does.

I'm always very, very curious about the upgrade cards. I like how they can enhance existing ships, which can help to bring them back into the game :)

Getting it out of the way so we're one step closer to a Wave 11 announcement

Scavenger Claw (or something like that) looks like it is going to be kind of cool but I can't make out exactly what it does.

To see the ship gif... The actual ship is covered by to much explosion in the 1sec we see it in the movie.

I want it to be viable in swarms so I can repaint a bunch of them without feeling guilty!

The new combos and play options that come with an expansion.

I don't think there's going to be a lot of stuff in the pack that will be too exciting to non-scum players.

It does look like there's a unique crew that isn't faction restricted though.

More broken, 1-point Scum crew, obviously...

I'm always curious about "Scum Players" or "Imperial Players" etc. I never even considered just playing one faction. Is it a money saving thing? I can understand that but otherwise I don't really get it.

I'm interested in the movement shenanigans primarily.

This. Thinking this is where the spaceinvader is going when he mentions salvaging upgrade cards from destroyed ships.

I have always wondered much the same as I buy all the expansions regardless of faction. With that said, I do find myself naturally gravitating more to playing Rebels and Scum and generally only play Imperials to make sure I'm familiar with the ships, or when I'm playing against myself for test purposes.

Yup. That seems to be what that does, based on micro-examination of the preview image.

I'll be interested to see if A Debt To Pay does what I think it does - makes the ship it's on able to mod an eye to a crit when attacking the ship with A Score To Settle. If it's not a positive thing for the ADTP ship, I can't see how a 0 point cost is justified.

ALL OF IT!!!!! SHOW ALL THE THINGS!!!!!

I can now run a 19-point Ion Scyk. Will there be a good 19-point Quadjumper build?

I think it has to be something like that. Was kind of funny the other day someone asked me if they could proxy A Score to Settle and I was like "Uhhh well considering we don't know the positive A Debt to Pay would give to my ship... Gonna have to pass" haha.

I'm about 99% confident that the condition gives the same bonus against the ship with the EPT as the EPT has against the ship with the condition.

Yes. Unkar Plutt, Ketsu Crew, Hypercomm.

Definitely the Reverse maneuver. I want the Rule Reference card spoiled today!

I'm looking forward to quad jump, jump, around.

Primed Thrusters seem like they'd be the way to go with Unkar. They let him barrel-roll to block even when stressed.

I reckon the Quadjumper will be the last revealed due to it being the most interesting. I reckon we will have the TIE Striker and U wing before the Quad.

Maybe, if FFG are feeling really trolly, they will announce the missing SKU58 before the Quadjumper.

In the past FFG has done the reveals in the order the ships were listed in the wave preview article. I'd be surprised if they had any preview articles before the Quadjumper.
