As a non-Descent player- care to elaborate?

edit: I don't think we're so far in to the series now that a new combat die couldn't be added, if that's the case. Maybe a purple die with a face that simply cancels a dodge (if that's the case) could be added for certain unit types, and could come with the next boxed expansion. Could be interesting, particularly in that it could be added to things like Adaptive Weaponry.

In Descent every attack roll contains a blue die, and that die has a miss side similar to the dodge

I never played descent, but for IA they decided to move that result to the defense.

So now it's the defender being awesome rather than the attacker just really sucking. Changes the emotions of it a bit.

I imagine in Descent it's far more frustrating to miss on the attack dice.

Considering the attack die is used for all attacks and the dodge result isn't on every defense die.. yeah.

The attack die in Descent isn't that fun either. I was so happy that they removed the miss. Then I saw the white die...:D
