I heard KO isn't going to Worlds this year. :'( Super sad, I know.Final table will be Kinetic Operator flying something crazy against Sablegryphon flying a different something crazy.
He's in the Friday flight.
THANK. GOODNESS. I was seriously depressed when I heard he wasn't going. Blairbunke not going was already kind of a bummer.

1. Prince xizor will top 16.
2. Bossk gonna hammer the competition and emerge victorious.
3. Poe is back with a vengeance.
4. Stresshog in every rebel list that makes the top 16 cut (both arc and x variants).
5. 6 sigma is the other finals list.
6. Horton Salm is most popular rebel unique.
Yay!!!
I've tried to use that card so many times. I had some success such as nuking a prenerfed Phantom with proton torpedoes (and Jan Ors buff) but then again I have had some of the worse luck like rolling all focus results for a TLT shot.
That's why you give him Marksmanship! Sure it's 4 points for him and eats the bot slot but he can have full mods on all TLT shots with one action!
Paul heaver wins with assaj and 2 tlts vs palp defenders on the final table.
And what will be the color of the defenders and the play time?
Purple and brown, Hutt colors.
1. Winner will be European
2. Mindlinked Scyks will suprise everyone
3. Scum will show up with strong small ship list
1. Not a single PWT in top 8.
2. Final table will feature one list with bombs
3. BMST will make it to the final table
4. All legal ships will be played.
Final table will be Scum with at least one PS9 ship versus Empire with at least one Defender. Scum will win due to having the most anti-defender tech available.

I think this will likely be the story of Worlds this year. Do you have a Defender? No? Then are you fielding one of the 10 cards that allow you to somewhat deal with Defenders? No? You lose. Yes? You have a slim chance to pull it off.
But, hey, apparently according to the majority of these forums, Defenders aren't power creep or anything at all, so we will have to find a way to enjoy our new Defender overlords because they are juuuuust fine. ![]()
My Lego piloted ships will make the cut for Sunday, I will have to change my flights & rental car, then I will lose miserably in one or both of my swiss games and not make the cut to top 16...thus not actually needing to change my flights & have to take an extra day off of work...

IMO, I would say there are more than 10. And Scum has access to more of them than other factions, which is why i think scum will win this year. They have the most variety of squads that can deal not only with defenders, but also defender counter lists.

I sadly don't see it happening with the Punisher. Keep it cheap so it doesn't define your entire list? You'd be better off with a Bomber. Go for one of the awesome characters? Get wrecked against high health spam (Deathrain) or anything PS8+ (Redline). They are good enough in the matchups where they are good that you can take them to a local tournament where you know the regulars will fly things that are weak against you, but Worlds is too large for that, hard counters have no place here, only soft tech.
1. K-wing bombers enter the top 16 scene
2. Scum will not reach final table
3. Lothal Rebel will be the MVP for worlds
4. Braylen Stressmule will be in the final
Edited by GrivoireMy prediction is that Paul Heaver will NOT win.
I think he's a great guy and I'd love to see him win again, but from listening to the podcasts he seems like he has lost the drive. He's even said he's rooting for the others guys and that he probably won't win this year. Plus, he said that he may miss the last day and play Imperial Assault instead.

Yeah, I know... sadly. Not perhaps completely unplausible someone brings Deathrain. Aside from the punsiher (and probably the Khirazxz) all other ship-types actually look like they can make an apperance. That is still pretty neat.
The final round of the final will be resolved without a single die being rolled.
The final round of the final will be resolved without a single die being rolled.
Winner will be a list with Ketsu Ono, 2 Z 95 and Torkix Mul
That i would love to see. Tractor Beam anyone? The final round of the final will be resolved without a single die being rolled.
Tractor beams involve the rolling of dice...
My scenario could come about by a variety of means, including but not limited to Conner Nets, Oicunn ramming, Feedback array, Stunned Pilot crit, ionisation... etc.

I actually agree with this (think you meant to say he seems to have lost his drive). I think Paul in a lot of ways is looking forward to the mantle being passed on. Every time he is on a podcast he seems less and less interested in X-wing, and I always feel like he is doing the interview or hosting as a courtesy to those who have him on (I could be totally wrong on this though). The more I listen to him, the more I see he is just more invested in Imperial Assault and other games now.
But then again, he has to be one competitive son of a gun, so even if he is ready to pass the mantle on, his competitive nature might just kick in and he will push through to the top table yet again.
Well, to be bold, I'll jump on a thin, cracking limb for fun.
If the Imps win (and the Mouse doesn't want it) it'll have the master flyer that no one knows, Sir Rudor.

If the Scum Wins (and the Mouse doesn't want it) it'll have a Lady flying with her hubby sitting in the backseat.

If the Rebels win again (and the Mouse wants this) it'll have Porkins cause he "can hold it!"

If Jek appears at all at worlds, I'll be surprised.
Would love it though.
I hope Porkins makes a comeback.
If the Cubs win tonight that's the first sign of the apocalypse. A porkins squad winning worlds will be the second sign.
It took the Cubs 108 years to win.
I predict T-65 X-wings will win worlds 108 years from now. So FYI, don't fly X-wings cause they are cursed for quite some time.
