Hi,
I don't understand how much "d100 points" obligation is supposed to be worth when you first assign it to a PC, not when you upgrade it.Isz it the value on the grid which explains the different types of obligation?
Thanks in advance,

There is a chart with suggestions of how much each Obligation PC should begin with in the game. Then each PC may take on additional Obligation up to whatever their initial starting amount is and gain corresponding benefits from it. The total of all the Obligations of the party is added together and then a D100 check is made. If the number rolled falls below that total of the group's Obligation, it is triggered and the corresponding mechanical and narrative effects are applied. You need to sort of jot down which PC's Obligation is which in the roll, so like Bob is 01-10, Sue is 11-25, Dave is 26-40, etc, so that you know specifically whose is triggered. I like to ditch personal Obligation quickly in a campaign and transition to a group Obligation so I don't have to break it down like that.
Edited by 2P51But how much is a single obligation worth, "addiction" for example? 5 "d100 points? 10? Is the basic value the same for all obligations? Or are some more important, have mor "d100 points" and are therefore more likely to trigger?
Thanks,

There is no worth assigned, purely narrative. In a small group addiction will be 'worth' 10 or more, in a large 5 or 6 PC party it might only be 5. A PC can have multiple ones, or stack their total Obligation score all into one issue.

NP, enjoy.

Do you keep Obligation thresholds from one session to another ? I mean, let's suppose Bob got 10 obligation points this session, on the next session do you still count those points ?
yes as Bob would now have 20ish obligation points. You can either redo the chart keeping Bob's obligations together and having him trigger on a 1 to 20, Sue from 21 to 25 and so or, OR put him at the end

Should I keep the Obligation points even if its activated? On a 4 player table thats means that in two sessions we would have 80 obligations points, in 3 120. As stated on the CRB, if the obligation reaches more than 100 points, the obligation gets activated. Does that refers to the total group Obligation or per player obligation? Seems to me to be the group total. Also, which one I activate? The higher one seems to be the one IMO.
You should be getting rid of old Obligations while adding new ones. You shouldn't just pile it up.

They probably won't be getting many obligation points, unless they are constantly asking for favours and getting them!
They have some starting obligation, say it's 10 each for your 4 players, so you start at 40, a 40% chance to have one come into play. Now, say in the first session, one got caught doing something dodgy and had to bribe a trooper to be let off. That bribe might be, say, a 5 point obligation that could result in the trooper coming back for more later, or they'd just let the player off, but say they may ask for something one day. So, obligation is now up to 45 (15+10+10+10). Another session, and one of the players hits paydirt (and doesn't tell the rest), and pays off their debts, getting rid of their obligation. Now obligation total is at 35 (15+10+10)
It isn't add 10 for each player per session.

Now its clear for me! Thank you!
